in our corner of leftfield dance music, there are not many of our heroes that we havent had the pleasure of hosting on circus company. from the early days of ark and akufen to robag wruhme, deetron and franck roger, we are privileged to have welcomed some genuine legends onto our label, and now we are honoured to add another all-time great to the list, soulphiction

this is the first in a series of many coming from noir music. the series is called rmx and its basically back catalogue tracks in new clothes done by some of our favourite producers. number one in the series contain 4 superb remixes by nice7, nicolas masseyeff, the glitz and lee van dowski & dean demanuele. this remix ep leans toward the techier side of house as the remixers show their floor functional excellence and hq production skills.

the title track for schallbox015 is delivered by none other than label boss steve cole himself. with a driving groove, playfully set chords and vocals by her majestys sound (aka alexander friedrich), the original version asks every dancer for the *last dance*. or then, is this just the beginning the cast of remixers, consisting of rené bourgeois & dan caster, as well as the glitz, lines up in perfect sequence and will again set every dance floor on fire!

im wilden zirkusleben trifft man immer viele menschen. man erzählt sich große und kleine geschichten. da ist uns eine geschichte von den beiden zirkusmusikern the glitz ganz besonders in erinnerung geblieben. sie handelt von der großen prima ballerina. so sagt man sich, dass die große russische prima ballerina damals vom glitzernden bolschoi verstoßen wurde, weil sie sich mit den zwei jungen burschen dole und kom auf ein liebesabenteuer einließ. der damalige stadthalter von st. petersburg hatte auch ein auge auf die grazile tänzerin geworfen und wollte mit ihr nach italien reisen um dort einen lula circus zu eröffnen. doch die prima ballerina hatte bekanntlich anderes im sinn. so verfluchte der zornige stadthalter die schönheit zum ewigen tanzen. man sagt sich, dass die mittlerweile schon über 200 jahre alte prima ballerina immer noch in einem wanderzirkus durch die welt tanzt.

nicht ohne ein kleines augenzwinkern und etwas schwarzem humor suchen die beiden the glitz mit ganz viel soul ?in their pants? nach ihren freunden und den lieben ladies...oh my god! simon baker lässt es dort gewohnt britisch locker angehen und schüttelt mit seinem groove alles noch einmal durch den club-kakao! der zweite song von the glitz widmet sich mit einem wunderbar deep treibenden sommer-vibe der ?windy city?. lachen und träumen!
