silas moldenhawer and jonas kenton, both children of the early 80s, grew up alongside each other in the tiny big city of copenhagen. in their teenage years they discovered electronic music and this led them to start spinning records and producing tracks together. years later they met two other talented musicians and formed well-establish danish indie-electro outfit when saints go machine, but still kept on building kenton slash demon as a separate project.

gynoid audio maintains it s ltd series with a new split ep containing much character, coarse-grained attitude, thrilling sequences and delightful soul. on one side we have the follow up of the -procurators- by mattias fridell, exquisitely paired with a mechanically grooving remix by tomohiko sagae. turning the plate reveals the minimalistic and focused purist techno cut by future 16, the -filaments pt4-. who else would be better suited to put a soulful and zealous twist on the latter than zadig obviously no one. hopefully you ll enjoy this package of music as much as we did assembling it!

two of the uks finest underground labels join forces and share their talent on this killer 12inch. from iib we have coyote s sin distracciounes, an upbeat sunkissed dancefloor meditation featuring the blissed out flamenco guitar of long time collaborator saro tribastone. futurboogies christophe remixes and chops up the guitar and adds some gypsymenesque organ stabs and layers of keys. futureboogies felix dickinson and jamie read drop the funky guitar heavy restless people. sublime chugging beats and a beautiful vocal refrain imploring slow it down creating a laidback house monster. iibs max essa puts his remix right in the middle of the dancefloor with straight up house vibes and extra percussion.

as the summer heats up, future disco highlights its future stars and pinnacle sounds with three unreleased and exclusive tracks selected from the brand new poolside sounds vol.ii compilation. a1 is classic bonar bradberry with 3two5 featuring his own vocals. flip to b1 and newcomer kiwi with the blissful mayfly and amy skippings vocals. b2 sees an exclusive future disco odyssey edit of artful & ridneys vocal house cut missing you.as with every future disco sampler the number of copies is limited.

a second release for londons future primitive records brings to the fore a new hand-picked selection of hard to find if not overlooked tracks from wolfgang voigt, dj guy and fernando corona, aka murcof. all of the music to feature on this four-track recast ep was previously subject to tape or cd only release. lifted from his only album as love inc., wolfgang voigt s income sits primo as the a1, holding firm 22 years after its original release. predating voigt s work as gas, its caustic chords, shimmering melodies and chilled 90bpm vibe render it a production borne from the classic dub techno blueprint of the early-to-mid 90s. an early take on slo-mo techno. the dat tapes of dj guy have again been raided, with future primitive joining a select cast of followers to rejuvenate the englishman s productions with an edit that appeared on his tape for crisis urbana. both b-side tracks botas de oro and secondary inspection theme come from murcof s one time terrestre alias, a project from the earl 2000s which fuses textural, slow-motion and minimal house sensibilities with mexican banda and norteno music aka nortec, a micro-sub-genre to come out of tijuana. loose percussion, swung drums and winding rhythms are made all the more esoteric through the subversively climactic nature of terrestre s music.

chicago 1992. ray barneys dance mania imprint has already been making its presence felt on the streets since way back in 1985 with a slew of releases from luminaries such as lil louis, dj pierre, vincent floyd, armando and many more. step in parris mitchell, under his rhythm ii rhythm alias with a 12inch of pure deepness for the label, oddly this the only one parris released using this particular name. a touch of jazz is a languid, soulful roller that stands out amongst the more tougher edged, frenetic releases on dance mania. this is some late night, smoothed out business across 4 alternate mixes. it s all uptempo snapping drums, shifting jazzy keys and that ridiculously catchy bassline, pure deep house basically. this is the first time a touch of jazz has ever been reissued in full, just as it was originally released in 1992, complete with original dance mania label artwork. 100% legit, reissued in conjunction with dance mania records, chicago il and parris mitchell. do it tonight!

the uk s newly inaugurated future primitive label holds a candle to its name by unearthing two leo anibaldi productions from deep within the roman s voluminous back catalogue. the two-track 12- debut sees anibaldi provide the label with a contemporary stretched edit of 1994 production -fusion 1-, a cut lifted from the aeon ep originally released on the now defunct italian label, acv. future primitive has also given ambient number -evocation part ii- a full remaster and b-side privileges, honouring an esoteric production from anibaldi s void lp that was originally released on aphex twin s rephlex label in 1996.

the 030303 crew come with a brand new various artist package in a beautifully designed sleeve to celebrate their 10th anniversary. while not all featured artist are new to 030303, the label mainly sticks to what it does best: digging up exciting new names from the raving underground. the smooth electronic tracks on the comp hold the middle ground between acid, idm, braindance, early 1990s 808 state-esque uk acid house and detroit techno.

nord records is welcoming dj guy on the label for their ninth record. the release is a double 12 inch with tracks produced in 1993-1997. dj guy was able to find and restore these tapes which results in a vinyl release from nord.

tensal is the first guest artist of the ownlife imprint and opens the year 2015 with a piece of authentic techno in all its forms. four initiatic cuts that re-define the sonorous shades of this label. ritual i is a return to the rough sound of the late 90s, no concessions, pure effectivity for the beginning of the record. the a side is completed with the more hypnotic part of the ep. a deep track, dry and minimalist with the elements needed to create the mystical atmosphere which floods this reference. ritual iii is absolute energy. a constant and atmospheric progression is perfect to create an impact on the dancefloor, maintaining tension to the end. the last track opens the door of the emotional side of the artist and represents a contribution of light to ownlife. a cut of dusty textures and delay tones. a landscape of stabs with a flawless structure for smoky clubs with low light.
