pentatones, the artists collective based in berlin, leipzig and amsterdam, have produced a new mini-album, which is released in june on lebensfreude records. in advance they come back with the single -glowing- and surprise with an unusual musical perspective: less difficult, less mystical, almost affirmative. a magical track. matching: marek hemmann as a remixer with a great charming and dance affine version. a bomb!

marvin horsch debuts on berlins film with an ep of exquisitely produced, cinematic electronica. the cologne based producer develops the colourful house found on previous work for the dorfjungs la-bel, with three playful compositions that draw as much on jazz and krautrock as more contemporary strains of alternative electronic music. opener omnisession 1 marries a beautifully shifting organ with live drum work before segueing into the glorious softness of sun after rain, a rich synth solo drenched in tape hiss. closer negobebo 2 wraps up the ep an energetic, looping recording replete with staccato drum-machine strikes and warm, wet verbs carrying a spirited lead across its six minute duration. an honest record, open and expertly executed fukushisha is an admirable addition to the film cata-logue.

kensuke fukushima is an established name in the music industry, with releases on wax in a handful of different labels. his astonishing work on “get in” proves that fukushima’s vision is wide and obeys no standards, resulting in this unique piece of music that we proudly present. besides the dub version from fukushima, this edition also counts with two remixes.
through the hands of andy book, the label owner, we receive this clubby interpretation, full of raw elements and fantastic twist in the melody of the original track. her joys, delivers a jazzy approach to fukushima’s track, making good use of acoustic percussion.
as in the first release, this one will be strictly limited to 300 copies. no repress.

kensuke fukushima is an up and coming talent from japan. growing up heavily influenced by rock and jazz, he learned to play multiple instruments like lead and bass guitar as well as piano. he s had a few previous releases on labels such as onovu & leap records and was featured on a recent v/a ep on roundabout sounds entitled, fly pattern ep. label boss joe babylon reached out to detoit house legend d wynn to remix the title track. for those that don t already know, d wynn was the resident dj at the histroic music institute as well as tour dj for inner city. he s also one half of r-tyme with derrick may.

roundabout sounds rounds out 2014 with its 12th release entitled fly pattern ep. this various artists (vinyl only) release features 4 up and coming artists from around the globe. uc beatz (belgium) and satore (spain) are eu residents while kensuke fukushima and hokuto sato are both from japan. youve got walk free and flying soul as floor bangers while r.a.m and finding the way pimp the deep vibes that the label is known for over the last couple years.
