the people in fog are back on sov! as smooth sky blue colour cat can represent, this ep has a smoother beat than the artists usual style. if you remember their previous ep with a darker colour, now the punching kick and identical house bass are gone and this ep is true showing off the producer s ability as a musician who can adapt to any kind of diversity. the first track last song has deep bass and atmospheric sounds, like a typical romanian loop, but after the long trippy beat when the piano sounds kick in, the atmosphere changes and brings back the emotion. the second track get funky is also truly hybrid version of house, while the combination of funky vocals and the endless hi-hat and shaker keep the groove tight and the deep down pad sounds mixed smoothly with the forest of beat make for a truly a unique character. the last track alright is a very joyful one, even though it uses a typical funky house vocal sample. its unique way of playing percussion and vocal keep the groove totally all-right

gents & dandy s are finally back with a 3rd limited 12- vinyl release and this time it s an artist ep by the hands of the greece, athens based achilleas dimitracopoulos, better known as fog. he s contributed to the house music movement since the late 90s and has previously released on labels like noir music, dieb audio, apparel music, seven music, and just recently suena hermosa. collaborations and remix work happened for kindimmer, patrick zigon or even kruse & nuernberg to name just a few.

almost 20 years later, the fog is remixed and will be re-released on limited edition vinyl.
junk project are the masters of trippy acid techno for over two decades now. they placed their unique signature on the fog and the result is a deep driving acid techno burner.
oliver kucera’s remix takes no prisoners and he busts out a fat 909 and 303 sound.

continuing a sublime run of form for the label, the fourth outing on the lopasura imprint, is yet another classy trio of heady, analogue machine laden masterpieces. opening up with “out of the fog’, the familiar acidic arpeggio and crisp hits we’ve grown to love from benedikt frey, dance unwittingly along before being opened up by long, cinematic pads drenching the track with an emotion and grandeur so synonymous with his music. complimenting the a side, the looming intent ‘wolves’ adopts from the off evolves quickly into a driving, hypnotic and beautifully crafted piece that’s a true heads down, eyes-shut techno battle weapon. rounding off the ep on the b side is the exceptional ‘lights’. an unsettling, caliginous whir of industrial drones balances the tribal, percussive elements almost depicting a lost ship crashing over the swells of the ocean as it clings on to futile hope of finding the lighthouse. it meanders and threatens before an incredible synth hook ebbs in and takes over momentarily, before calmly simmering as the storm passes. never before has love pain sunshine and rain been more perfectly encompassed.

summer has come early. the fog is literally lifting and willing the summer to come early with this excellent ep for metroline. lead track diggler’s job is a breezy house number with pimping keys and a beautiful bass bounce. there’s plenty of movement in the percussion and a light touch that just begs for summer to come. shout romance is a shade tougher with its up-front kicks and acid-tinged bassline. it has slow burn intensity that is nicely counterbalanced by smooth reverb-soaked vintage synths.the jackspot remix of shout romance really brings out the funk in those synths, underpinning that with down-the line percussion and skittering hats that give the track a real drive. rounding things up nicely is in the right mood. the track’s bassline is sticky, sweet treacle over which congas and vocal cuts are expertly sprinkled to create a tasty treat. it never gets sickly though… horns are deployed sparingly, and the track has the same cool as a cucumber minimalism that makes this ep pure pleasure on the eardrums

this edition also incl the maxi cd ... wir betrachten uns eine griechische spezialität : zunächst plattennadeln vom staub befreien, ohrschmalz aus den ohren zupfen. das vinyl von beiden seiten mit salz und pfeffer einreiben. mit limettensaft beträufeln. die hälfte der kräuter und die lorbeerblätter über die schultern werfen. die haare gleichzeitig mit holzspießchen zustecken. die rechte gesichtshälfte auf ein geöltes backblech legen. danach alles mit Öl beträufeln. knoblauchzwiebel putzen, halbieren, mit auf das blech legen. im heißen ofen (e-herd 200°c/gas stufe 3) etwa 25 minuten backen. ca. 5 minuten vor ende der backzeit übrige kräuter über die haare streuen. anschliessend vinyl herausnehmen und mit grobem salz bestreuen. mit rosmarin, thymian und limette garnieren. fertig ist die schmackhafteste brise aller zeiten. i-kie & nikola gala sowie fog & arara bieten ein gourmetschmaus an, der sich gebacken hat. vier tracks, die auf jeden teller gehören.
