pellegrino presents his new project -zodyaco-. inspired by the ancient mythology of the stars and their deep influence on the sea life, the record is the result of nocturnal jams in the wake of the italian jazz-funk tradition, exotic fusion and mediterranean mysticism. a tribute to the stars and their reflections on the sea.

discarded gems is a series aimed to the discovery of rejected musical gems, buried in live sessions, noisy tapes, old digital system, and reserve them a dignified space on a plastic disc. the first release is a man-driven machines excursion in multiple shades of house music. riding acid basslines, rooted rhythms, crackling samples and inherent chords progressions are the foundations of this ep.

on his debut mini-album, pellegrino goes for a periplus around mediterranean savors, dispensing a multi-flavored cocktail of fast-moving disco groovers, spacey jazz-fusion experiments and sun-bleached funky melters .

this ep is somehow special for us because we’,ve been wanting the original track for 4 years…,. back then, this very track called ‘,san pellegrino’, by rj valeo aka isomer transition grabbed our attention. our first offer to release rj’,s music was declined because he had different plans for it at this time. but our enthusiasm never really faded out, and nearly 3 years later we simply asked him again. this time is visibly worked. the b side has been confided to british producer och, undoubtedly on fire at the moment with his excellent publications on trelik, pal sl, his own autoreply or more recently on all inn records. he delivered a powerful floor remix, designed for nocturnal peak times –, as the name ‘,och’,s 4am mix’, suggests.
