repress - welcome to the fourth chapter of the elaste series! in this compilation i am progressing a style i am inaugurating: vintage futurism. the best metaphor for this genre is charanjit singhs 1982 album ten ragas to a disco beat in which he created a sound which mirrors, but more importantly pre dates, the first acid house record by five years. it is no novelty record, but truly capturing the hypnotic potential of acid/house music. it became my key track for elaste volume 4

was genau mit „munchies“ gemeint ist, das kann man sich natürlich von einem fachkundigen kiffer erklären lassen oder im selbstversuch herausfinden. am besten wendet man sich an den rapper curly, denn der hat dem phänomen ein ganzes album gewidmet. es geht um gras, es geht um genuss, es geht um hunger. klar, dass dabei das dopeste stück rapmusik des jahres entstand. 2017 ist jeden tag zeit für „munchies“.

max guld was a post-punk musician from glostrup, denmark one of the western suburbs of copenhagen. in 1983 he formed a band called den forspildte elite with a friend from high school taking inspiration from experimental art punks the residents. from the beginning of 1984 to the beginning of 1985, he recorded a solo album in his 30 square meter apartment. the result was a 40 minute cassette titled for enden af corridoren released in 1985 on hub records that was limited to 100 copies.
