dapayk solo, berlin based producer and veteran of the minimal techno scene, announces the release of his 10th studio album the calling. this latest project will be the producers first solo album since 2015. the 8-track double 12inch lp will be available via dapayk solos label mos ferry productions and comes with a free download voucher. the first track on this lp the calling shares its name with the album and starts off with a pang of energetic, chopped beats before exploding into a brassy melody, continuously gaining momentum. blackout immediately announces itself as a next generation detroit house anthem. the rolling synths, hi hats, and vocals make this one of the most outstanding tracks on the album.aurora stays true to its name with a buildup composed of throbbing ethereal synths that give the track an otherworldly vibe. flood transports listeners to the dancefloor with its pulsating bassline combined with komplements quaint vocals. the second part of the album begins with after all, one of the most enticing tracks on the album. it combines the groovy rhythm of four to the floor percussion with tantalizing vocals by vars before low tinnitus reverts to dapayks signature minimalist sound. the transition into wanderer continues the momentum built up by the previous tracks. the closing walk with me is a deep-house jam that features a rhythmic shaker layered under mental bends powerful vocals. dapayk solo, alias niklas worgt, isnt afraid to try new things.
mos ferry, roland europe and dapayk proudly present the transformation remix contest winner ricky ambilotti. his remix got most of the votes in the final one-out-of-five public voting. and now it runs on the a side of mos ferrys 80th vinyl record. a reworked version from minimal techno beard-o marek bois on the b side completes the pictures. this is a perfect follow-up on dapayk solos well acclaimed album >nofilter<
berlin based label mos ferry prod. is celebrating the release of the 4th studio album by their very own dapayk solo. titled #nofilter. since 1996 producer niklas worgt is regarded as one of the most creative and versatile protagonists of europes club scene. several projects for his label mos ferry prod., like the i love vinyl- festival or the work on new dapayk & padberg releases have kept him busy during the last 5 years. but finally he came around to spend some solo time in the studio
mos ferry presents dapayk solos new double a-side single transformation. this is not only a two track preview of his upcoming album nofilter, but also a return to his roots of experimental ways and angularity in his production. but dont worry, this record is anything but old dapayk says: its more reduced, more analog and dirtier than anything i have ever done before.
dapayk always delivers. with over the top and orwo the mos ferry label boss polished the prettiest grapes taken from his current liveset. he comes up with four version, each of them with a special focus on the vinyl.

*to the moon and back* - the a side of this fenou #22 record is taken from douglas greeds *fenou bouquet vol.3* compilation. the b side *mr. styles* is one of the unreleased goodies by dapayk solo and fits this mini compilation just perfectly. as usual the release comes as a 10 inch vinyl release in a limited edition and numbered by hand.

12" Vinyl coloured D12.03.14
vinyl only! first edition in special black & white split-colour design! dapayk solo hits hard on the head with >keepin it real<. nicone & philip bader use up the full length of the flip for their remix. every inch of this side is filled with an evolving deephouse version of dapayks original.
after the last singles, fenou presents 20 as a split ep again. the a-side cut is flled with strings and boxers by dapayk solo. built on a gentle but quite hypnotic analog beat, epic strings and harp sounds unfold next to stylistically confdent electronica instruments, which mutually offer space to be returned in the next part.
all 10 releases + brand new dpk11!! dapayk solo is a studio workaholic and he strikes a blow for vinyl. in 2009 he started his very own vinyl only series called dpk, next to his well established labels mo s ferry, fenou and rrygular. the idea was to present vinyl in striking colours as a special format for his liveset tracks and beloved edits by artists such as format:b, super flu, sascha braemer and jon hester. it s a feast for the eyes and the ears all in one. now, four years later and after reaching #10 of the series, dapayk decided to compile all tracks in a collectors box. in addition to the previously released records he also included the brand new dpk #11 with a remix by aka aka. this big bundle contains 23 tracks and ranges from minimalistic to funfair tunes and also some edgy b-sides.

played by ewan pearson, dubfire, dave seaman, hernan cattaneo, mihalis safras, seth troxler, pig&dan, thomas schumacher, troy pierce, karotte, sebrok, ramon tapia, carlo lio ,.. text: october 2010 saw the release of dapayk solos debut ep for herzblut recordings. >futu< with its array of inventive sounds and structures was an instant smash, warmly received by both djs and dance press alike. the >bevita< ep sees dapayk make a much welcomed return to the label
it seems that dapayk used to listen to a lot of hip-hop when he was younger. his latest ep for still vor talent >let go< has got these influences written all over it. the title track starts out with a male vocal and some sounds that sound a little like scratching before things then quickly head into the direction of the club. the vocal by singer camara could not be more reminiscent of 80s house music and this track has got all the soul and groove of this era. beneath the delicate vocal and sound patterns lies a wonderfully simply staccato house groove that is sure to get everyone shuffling. on the flip things get a little more techy with >nneka<, a deeper and more melodic tech house glider that gently takes the listener towards a harmonic state of mind. beautifully arpeggiated pads, a warm soulful groove and some reverbed vocals make this one. last up is the sample-based tech-house stomper >upyo< featuring production partner jon hester. this is loop heaven: a pushy beat loop with many snares, reverse samples and an unexpected saxophone melody make this one the perfect changeover track from warm-up to peak-time. this ep shows dapayks skills to combine many musical influences into his unique still of tech-house music
support from the whole techno keyplayers crew worldwide like karotte, youandme, kaiserdisco, mihalas safras, patrick lindsey, echonomist,.... get dapayks first release on dekadent so far ! our thuringian mastermind delivers 2 raw and rollin killer techno tracks as we love it.

leena017 witnesses dapayk solo in full bloom and with space to breathe. a-side >berlin bedlam< builds up layers upon layers of synths, paving the way for a break out of melodic charms that arrive. its a cinematic sound scape that could be played at any number of stages over the course of the night. b-side >fawlty< is equally as melodic, but certainly fulfills the role of the calm after the storm. minimal, but with musical flare, its the perfect companion
this 2x12inch of dapayk solo - decade on (2000-2010) combines brand new dapayk tracks, a refreshed classic and four remixes. it comes along with a dapayk poster and a voucher card for a free download of the full length album!!!
sawtooth - lately this term appears quite often and not only in reviews for the new dapayk solo album „devil’s house“. with „acid pornofski“ he demonstrates that the tracks on his album do not mark the end of the story. wrapped in a single release with „right here with me“ and „how low“ on the a-side you can see dapayk’s true colors on the very b-side. and of course it’s a lot easier to do so on a single. like back in the best days of rave you hear the endless modulation of a monstrous acidbassline. everybody who has experienced one of dapayk’s live pas knows how sweaty these sets are about to end. and for the last few months „acid pornofski“ is neither seldom nor randomly the peak
this summer mos ferry prod. comes up with a new two-track 12inch by dapayk solo, announcing the release of his second album >devils house< in late september. the title track on side a is already giving directions for this journey – provided that theres a proper bass response – >frickelsound< with affection to the little details, in particular with regards to the bass frequencies. but knowing dapayk thats hardly surprising, by now ... on the b side he presents >a saw attacks< - a track like a recapitulation of certain minimal elements that are around for quite a while now. but only the beginning is a typical sportive staccato theme. after a while a full-stereo sawtooth sound and a demoniac vocal sample take the lead, pushed by a strong punchy kick drum and accompanied by a sounddesign of clicks and sweeps
mos ferrys sublabel fenou returns after a one year break with a new limited 10 vinyl edition. the first releases realize collectors price and show a path to a universe of experimental, minimal pop. dapayks >dehalledretro< is probably known as part of his liveset. the calm and reduced, but groovy track emerged from a bunch of loops hes playing with during his performances. its a proof that shows, minimal is not always made of clean, sterile sounds and dry wood-like tones. dredl kiboshs flipside >i found you< is spinning around broken beats and intelligent grooves, beyond the klikkaklakka standards. its a link between four-to-the-floor and downtempo-breakbeat, very soulful
since fall 2006 dapayk is raising a lot of dust with his first solo album >impulsion parasite< and the ongoing tour. now, mo’s ferry prod. presents the >rmxs part 1< with adaptations by louderbach, butane, tanith and 3dots. the tracks are as diverse as the remixers themselves and show in what plurality and variety dapayk’s music is recognised and interpreted
after almost two years and a couple of releases on labels like karloff, fenou, orac, contexterrior, friends of tomorrow and resopal dapayk is coming back to his own imprint mo s ferry prod. the single dapayk solo >impulsion parasite< is a foretaste to his album coming out this september. for all of them who can’t wait…check out this totally wicked two tracker. >frick< out ! :
delightful winter night party tunes .. exiting, laced with dry, dirty electronic bass driven tech grooves mixed with bubblegum sleazy vocals while always groovy in the lower frequencies, dapayk will surely take over the dancefloors !!
