zimbrus second release is the new collaborative effort from kozo and dan andrei, hiding their musical personalities in the ak41 codename. and is their edgy approach on minimal techno that has shaped into this record: taking time to expand into triatlons multidimensional sample universe, exploring the dubbier alien planes of techno through cuttin ice or pushing us deep into some uncharted groove territories with cox terriers perky bassline.

• to fully grasp the essence of contur003 we must focus our attention to its most basic bits of information. we must observe its pure dna, hardcoded into the bassline and subtly passed from track to track, only to suffer minor mutations. we must experience es pion s game of smoke and mirrors over the simple cadence. we must indulge in bass vilain s erratic loops or in the dub suspense built in the hideout.

the young talented producer and dj has surprised the whole electronic scene with his production of balada conducatorului - a track which was hugelly supported by felow djs. his later releases on be chosen, kurbits records, a:rpia:r and the apperance of his work on cocoon compilation have only proven that he is here to stay. his modest, honest and hard working caracter can be felt within amazing music production as well as in his dj sets. we are more than proud to introduce you to his first release on our label. enjoy the music!

kurbits 004 marks the return of dan andrei who brings the romanian dirt with two dusty, percussive techno tools. first out on the label side is ramble on, an old school house rhythm. driven by a shaker in a jacking groove and topped off with a rambling vocal about nothing at all, because after all these vocals about >house music<, whats left to say? just put the track on and get the groove on! four sticks on the info side is a straight up techno banger built on a rolling house groove. no funny business, just a sublime percussion workout with little but essential hints of melody to let you catch your breath, then straight back to the groove! we sincerely hope youll have as much pleasure with these tracks as we are. well be back soon with new and exciting rhythms. happy mixing!
