cocoonclub-resident skai and label scenery darling m.in acclaimed for his work on labels like loco dices desolat and off join the circus records family with the release of their mediterranean flavoured ultima tromba ep. the release sets off a new era reviving the label itself in cooperation with darmstadt based club magenta, skais home for his monthly event re:fresh. with a stunning original gaining early support from the likes of alex flatner and mark reeve the ep is backed with three remixes. whilst dragosh serves us with a reduced version of the original in his hailed desolat style, remercs approach finalises with a tech-house bomb in the way his recent productions on labels such as trapez or off jar the dancefloors. label-head mikel closes the package with an accentuated make-over of the original version representing the house heads on this ep.

located somewhere between australias interior and the white beached coasts of the mediterranean, the two tracks presented here reality change and cool waters are a hybrid kind-of chaos between futurism and rave nostalgia. inspired by the climatic shifts imposed by a modern trans-hemispherical lifestyle and characterized by more energetic tempos and repetition, p.m.t.c. focuses the attention on the smaller differences, while retaining some of the playful melodies and euphoric sound palette that emits that comfortable warmth, which has become a trademark on both fantastic man and superconscious records

the tenth output of invite’s choice records is another hard hitting banger made by border one.
drumrim’s straightforward four to the floor kick is accompanied by a hard hitting bass and a repetitive leadsound that evolves throughout the track. the overdriven hihats and rides combine well with the panicky sound. diffuse goes along with the flow set by the a1 track, yet has a bit more percussive feel to it due to the toms added.
hatchet on the b-side provides an aggressive kick and percussive elements. the sound evolves around one overdriven synth sound that drains you in to the track. perfect for fast transitions while mixing. copylust ends the ep a bit slower bpm wise, but emits the same energy as the previous tracks. straight-forward, hypnotising, hard hitting contemporary techno.

ranging from up-tempo to balearic beat, these remixes are sure to hit the mood. pete herbert brings an 80 s dance floor flavor with massive stabs to perk up any situation. a vision of panorama mix is a beautiful mellow, sexy anthemic tune, perfect for the sun beaming down on the islands of your mind. greeen linez has the ultra lounge, 90 s jazz groove covered here perfectly.

dirty analog techno from french boss, crackboy trevor jackson: brilliant! crackboy (and all his dirty aliases) never disapoints for his second chapter on crowdspacer (after releases on tigersushi, im a cliché, zone or fragil), crackboy, the king of french dirty analog techno, half of pov with label-boss joakim, digs deeper into that detroit melanchol-epic vibe with weapons of steel on the a-side before going bonkers on the b-side with 2 naughty stripped-down beat-centric dj tools for the sweaty late night crowds. made me think of some gemini tracks when i first heard it (thats a compliment).
