changing tides ep is the fourth release of our kommuna tapes imprint. the a sides features two breaky, electro-infused tracks from undersound affiliate chris geschwindner, while the flipside goes back to the roots: adam collins, half of legendary tech-house golden era duo omni am, brings us impeccable groove, and early 00s deep house icon seafoam allows us to trip up through the early evening or morning hours.
track by track, we build a kommuna of artists who share our insatiable appetite for music discovery, guided by a certain vision of the dancefloor: deep stripped-down grooves, sometimes challenging, always with character.

the second release on the newly formed barcelona label they are changing it comes from barcelona based american dj/producer fluen. on this ep fluen gives us a glimpse into his production range delivering an ep that has a clear chicago/ny house influence , but manages to avoid the conga fever that has swept the scene as of late, and at the same time sounds very current. on the a side, things take off with better days, fun and very dancefloor oriented. the second track on the b side, mary says stands out right away thanks to a catchy piano riff and female cut up vocals, reminiscent of old chicago records. on the b side, fluen mixes things up a bit with a song that catches you from the get go. music remains starts very basic, with a dreamy piano line and a kick that lay the foundations for a song that could easily be a hit, simple, beautiful and very dancefloor friendly. the vocals wisely remind us that >people come and go, times do change and allà. but the music remains<. limited edition of 500 units
new barcelona label they are changing it, first ep comes from barcelona based american dj/producer and label boss dia. the past 12 months were very important for her as she started another succesful label, vinyl did it. this ep truly represents dias sound, very musical, well layered, and with a touch of melancholy, yet strong and driving, with simple yet effective basslines and strong percussion, ready to take on any dancefloor.
top quality cosmic italo disco with a new york dfa/morgan geist edge this is a limited edition 500 copies release on soul jazz records! previous releases on swedens rollerboy label, this is the pseudonymous name of one of europes finest producers, so we are not allowed to tell you much about him!
following three acclaimed releases from glimpse, alex jones and shenoda, hypercolour is back again with more super-fresh underground house music to brighten up the dancefloor. this time, we welcome parisian young gun sebastien bouchet, whose releases on freak n chic have been creating quite a stir with discerning djs across the globe. >changing lanes< is a mid-paced, woozy number, with stripped back beats, cascading fx, and bouchets messed-up vocals drifting in and out of the mix. its deep and its druggy, but theres still plenty of movement and groove, making it perfect for the grey hours of the early morning. next up is a remix from jens bond, another superhot producer whose slinky, taut technoid sound has already featured on labels including sender, highgrade and poker flat.
