after a few years on hiatus, one electronica has gone all out in with a heavy debut 4 tracker from new member thought camera. the young belfast born producer who has been very busy in the studio putting together an arsenal of electronic weapons has also enjoyed an increase in popularity and profile in the local scene due to his hard work and commitment to the cause. with such a strong release about to drop in the next few weeks and with more unreleased material on its way this guy is worth keeping an eye on as a rising talent. without using too many bullshit analogies – this is release is simply dancefloor bliss and a djs dream that will be keep at the front of a record box for years to come and could be a favourite among various styles. the title track astral pilot comes in strong with spatial glitchy electronic chatter and tubular echoes that are pretty damn haunting. headspace comes in on a2 which is the antithesis of serenity and meditation that the name suggests. this acidic jack track is upbeat and laden with bass bleeding all over the place. flip it over and you have lifeforms on the b1 which is the most technical track on the release which ebbs and flows between solemn and sombre leaving you emotionally twisted yet intrigued this is one to look out for! obsession which aptly depicts this track a stalker in the night, haunting, imposing, friday 13th shit. not for the faint hearted.

limited to 500 copies, this ep sees the german legends laying down some seriously danceable acid, laced with an undercurrent of techno. lights, camera, acid contains echoes of their seminal track acperience 1 , channelling the 303 vibe, whereas yo! bum rush the silver box ploughs a more electro furrow of acid. both grooves come in at over the 6 minute mark. mastered by curve pusher, artwork by g.s-l studio.

ddd records is a label and a store based in paris. un drame musical instantané is a collective of french composers led by jean-jacques birge. in 1984, they composed their own score to dziga vertovs groundbreaking 1929 film the man with a movie camera.

dark entries is proud to release “helden platz”, a long out of print 12” maxi single from seminal italian electronic act kirlian camera. included here is the extended 12” mix, the 7 edit, plus the original b-side “burial”, an instrumental that evokes a funeral procession soundtrack. all songs are remastered for vinyl by george horn at fantasy studios in berkeley. it is housed in the original jacket, featuring a photo of a headstone from zentralfriedhof cemetery in vienna. each copy includes a 2-sided postcard with lyrics and photos of the band.

kirlian camera are one of the pioneers of the italian electronic scene. active since 1979 under the name suicide commando, the band changed name in 1980 releasing the first demo-tape dawn and the self-titled mini-album in late 1981. the early records contain a mix of synth pop and new wave/dance songs, while towards the end of the 1980s kirlian cameras music became darker, turning into electro-gothic sound. nearly every release since then has explored different fields, from industrial to ambient and trip-hop.

thirty years later italian records and kirlian camera are happy to re-release edges in a new interpretation by todays singer/frontliner elena alice fossi. the a side of this 21st century vinyl includes remixes by john fryer (depeche mode + nin producer), and starion that combines vocoder vocals, analogue bass and polysynth. on the b side the electronic duo from rotterdam shambok offers a pumping electro mix along with an intense pad accappella version. firat 300 copies come in fullcover

berlin based oskar offermann finishes off proceedings with his stunningly hard-edged remix focused intently on the dance floor. the original melody line sits perfectly on a bed of subtle, dark stings and stabs of electronic noise to create those ghostly dance floor moments.
