the a-side starts with a driving beat, over which sultry chords hang and build. the introduction of a spirited vocal loop gives the track a more melancholic feel, all underpinned by a great bassline that ensures the track never loses its soul, depth and funk. on the flip, * buff zenky* heads into much tougher territory. the track builds with thumping kicks and those trademark * g* hats, along with a chopped vocal, tight looping bass and swinging claps. a sparse but highly effective layered synth completes a cold-blooded package - perfect for those late nights and early mornings. an excellent first release for made in soho, displaying a thoroughly current approach whilst never forgetting the deep, soulful veins that run through its racks.

reissue of one of the rarest and most sought after releases from the thai scene. having been rated 6 stars by hans pokora (well deserved as this lp consistently sells for 4 figures locally in thailand), this has become near impossible to source, even in its native county as many were destroyed over the years. tip!

buffered multiple is the techno a/v project of vienna electro poster boys microthol. buffered multiple return to pomelo after their debut on our 20 yrs compilation and subsequent eps on other imprints. buffer 05 starts off with prime time in super-saturated dub techno mode, its sublimely textured chords ambling hypnotically over a tense and pounding beat. shitty track changes gears into jack mode, with a bleepy morphing swing hook that drives up the intensity over a percussive beat and takes all the right cues from chicagos second wave productions. junolized delves deep into the abyss again, its expansive echoes weaving intricate layers of dub over a foundation of bottomless bass.

slovenian artist eb king provides glyk with three magnificent jams. one shines like a juicy nightshade berry on a silver plate. the other is the soundtrack for moody werewolves on full moon and the last invites you to an afterhour on steve zissous submarine.

the boston based alternative rock band buffalo tom formed in 1986. the band around singer/ guitarist bill janovitz became one of the more popular alternative rock bands by the mid 1990s. the 1992 album let me come over was truly the great leap forward for the band, sounding richer, more imaginative, and more emotionally powerful than anything they d recorded before.
