focusing on low-slung idm, acid and atmospheric electro with nods to krautrock & ambient sounds, steve hy-lands attraktta project gets an extended outing on the film label. across eight beautifully produced tracks, hyland - one of the founding members of ai records and subsequently concrete plastic, explores vibrant synthesis and intricate drum programming, with the music arriving at a sweet spot between home listening material & club-ready workouts for more intelligent dance floors. eschewing straightforward synth sequences in favour of blissed out - almost disharmonious sonics, hyland trans-mits a curious psychedelia on his debut lp. sounds pitch and warp organically, buoyed up by saturated low end and punchy drum machine percussion. there remains a decidedly accomplished precision to the work, though - with the music bearing all the hallmarks of an artist of some considerable experience - testament to the british pro-ducer & label heads 19 years working in the industry. a colourful, exquisitely composed lp that riffs on a timeless production aesthetic with considerable style, echo principle is a fantastic entry into the film records discography.

first of 3 volumes taken from the incredibly rare japan only cd release inner films 70 from 2009. the sketch is simple, modern disco artists take on seminal film scores from the 70s and give them a twist. first we have norweigan disco wizard prins thomass take on the theme from rocky – gonna fly now. all live instrumentation… thisll rock your socks off. on the flip japanese artist foog (mule musiq) gives the theme from close encounters of the third kind a new lick of paint, while fellow japanese sonic adventurer hideo kobayashi (apt. international / bite grooves) turns rhapsody in blue into a tech-y workout.

cd edition in 2-panel digipack, 20-page booklet with exclusive pictures and notes from jeanne moreau, fran¨ois truffaut and cyrius bassiak (aka. serge reznavi).an emblematic actress and a memorable figure of the french chanson scene, jeanne moreau passed away in 2017. she started singing as an amateur in theatre like the comˇdie fran¨aise, but always wanted Òto sing balladsÓ. the man who wrote her first songs was her friend: the painter cyrus bassiak (pseudonym of serge rezvani) and like for many other artists jacques canetti was the one who brought her to a recording studio to record her first songs in 1963. this album pays homage to jeanne moreau by compiling for the very first time all the songs written by cyrus bassiak, including 4 songs that were nowhere to be found until today.
