boora explores soviet jazz archives of the 60s and 70s, scientific documentaries, folk music and sounds of nature to bring you the raw and unique sound experience straight out of moscow, russia.

french producer keumel makes a poised vinyl debut on the inner balance imprint, with three originals of fine skipping house and a remix by imprints head domenico rosa. “laïka” is an afternoon space-walk in the vein of vintage derek carr, its synths, hats and mid-track acid line surfing light and breezy over a scudding, bumping bassline. rosa’s remix strikes a more contemplative note by placing a soft breakbeat under the acid line and airborne pads. “no chill” is a fast-tempo stripped-down house jam that kicks to the sound of the label’s father figure chez damier and his contemporaries. “space birds” rounds out the ep by building a slowburn groove out of which a lightly-warped acid line slinks part-way through.

the third release published by the vfmm, this time teaming up with the befriended label kashual and its mastermind - a brother from a different mother - thome thomp from berlin.the record encompasses a broader scope of electric music productions and still clings to the love and passion for analogue hardware.on side a of the record we again are lucky to present another bizarre yet gripping voodoo stomper by our very beloved bufiman. we are also very excited to welcome the very debut of a rather talented and promising project called forum whose uncompromising and raw acid sound is tearing every dance-floor to bits.the flipside kicks off with a very deep-laid and mellow analogue soundscape produced and arranged by the renown and ingenious rvds. utterly hypnotized by this track, the listener will then be caught and dragged down by the harsh and very stark atmosphere of the fairly industrial but emotive techno production of our mate thome thomp.you all are advised to keep an eye out to this record as it will be gone very quickly.

instruments of r.i.p.ture. after 3 years and 9 releases covering edits, remixes and original productions, instruments of rapture hammers the final nail in its own coffin with the delivery of part 10. the triple vinyl release includes a special selection of unreleased tracks (with vinyl exclusives) and remixes from friends and family of the label. a limited cd will be released in late june with exclusive material from the labels vaults. the final release party will be held in glasgows infamous sub club on bank holiday sunday june 3rd with 6th borough project and ooft alongside the revenge debuting his new live set.

everything begins with changes, whether you re moving geographically or emotionally. aera’s album „the sound path” tells the story of this sentiment.
born in the high north of germany and now a berlin resident, ralf schmidt aka aera first appeared on the electronic music map when he established his own aleph music label back in 2010. with only a handful of releases, aera was able to lay out his very own musically topography on the cutting edges between house, psychedelia and breakbeats. this colourful mix culminated on his debut album „offseason traveller” in 2013, resonating the past forty years of electronic music, which brought him the attention of a wider audience as well as fellow djs and producers. so it was a logical consequence that his talent also attracted other labels and lead to widely praised releases on innervisions, maeve or john talabot’s hivern discs. with these, aera’s sound bloomed further into bubbly acid and trancey territorries and his fine reputation as a singular producer, travelling dj and remixer flourished. with „the sound path” aera continues his musical travels and permanent vacation is gladly hitchhiking on that ride. his second album is the most coherent and definitely most personal work to date. here, he has perfected his sound even further - adding nuances from the meadows of new age, kraut cliffs and high-flying kites of ambient. complete with the cinematic and nature-esque qualities of ralf’s music, it will draw you in deeply through a great variety of landscapes before your inner eye. however, you’ll never lose track, because this path is beautifully illuminated.

musikalisch ist drums between the bells die abwechslungsreichste arbeit enos seit jahren. perkussive tracks, basierend auf industrial/noise, rock oder ethno-elementen wechseln sich ab mit elektronischen oder klassischen listening-passagen von erhabener schšnheit. doch das album ist mehr. sŠmtliche tracks sind mit gedichten des lyrikers rick holland versehen, vorgetragen von eno persšnlich oder personen seines umfeldes (fitnessstudio, ladenangestellte, buchhalter, grafikdesigner, ...). jeder trŠgt seinen part inviduell unterschiedlich vor: narrativ, per vocoder verfremdet, als mantra, mit echo verhallen, stakkato, hypnagogisch, als gebet, abstrakt. eno nennt sie speech-songs. seine arbeit ist eine innovative kombination aus musik & text, eine neuartige form von sprechgesang und sicherlich sein interessantestes werk seit langem!
