was für ein zirkus: be svendsen hat sich 4 titel von 4 virtuosen klangakrobaten geschnappt und jongliert sie im freien raum zwischen schnittigem house, klassischer rummelplatz-atmosphäre und stummfilmmusik der goldenen 20er. so beschwippst und überschwänglich dieses manöver klingen mag – wer sich rhythmisch dazu bewegt wird schnell merken, dass hier nach dem muster routinierter dancefloor-präzision gestrickt wurde. dafür bietet acid pauli natürlich eine echte steilvorlage: be svendsen schnallt die schunkelnden klavierakkorde von requiem for a loop auf eine swingende bassline, schlägt verwegene kapriolen und landet mit jazziger lässigkeit doch immer wieder auf der eins. die vielschichtige komposition, aus der sich der zauber des schlaraffenland vom electronic swing orchestra ergibt, untermalt er mit schlichten aber effizienten beat-texturen. zusammen mit monolink und inspiriert vom detailverliebten tiefgang des micronauten entsteht der wohl hypnotischste titel auf dieser ep, nämlich ein wunderbar verträumter remix zu modulation transfer function. und dann wäre da noch die zackige vertracktheit von the one, welche die hörerschaft wohl unwillkürlich in menschliche kanonenkugeln verwandeln dürfte.

it is simply impossible to put a label on the sound of be svendsen. well, at least one thing can be said: his stylistic open-mindedness is just perfect for open air scenarios! seriously fun loving – that is the way in which the danish producer performs his signature sound juggling.
