to celebrate the birthday we are releasing a series of five singles, available on 10 inch vinyls (1-5). the series will be followed by the huge 10 years clr compilation. it has been mixed and edited by chris liebing and all the 10 tracks, which appear on the singles and later on the compilation are exclusive and specifically produced for this purpose. chris liebing and green velvet teamed up for the first time pretty much by accident. dustin zahn actually became some kind of obstetrician when he started this mash-up. alex bau is known as one of the long time clr artists and obviously had to contribute a track to the series. both tracks are road tested and guarantee serious damage on the dancefloors

echocord’s echo echo sub-label continues with its third releases this august, courtesy of german producer and credo founder alex bau with his ‘zenstory’ ep. germany’s alex bau has been a prominent name on the underground dj circuit on his home turf, and further afield, for three decaces as well as racking up an impressive back catalogue as a recording artists for labels like cocoon, clr, sleaze and of course his very own credo label which has been a platform predominantly for his own material whilst welcoming the likes of kyle geiger, takkyu ishino and electric rescue onto the imprint also. here though we see bau joining the roster of echocord’s fledgling sub-label echo echo with a new four-track ep and taking the lead on the package is ‘clouds’ with pulsating low-end tones, hissing analogue noise and dusty drums samples all flowing in unison with ethereal chords and sweeping pads. ‘contour’ follows, tipping the focus over to bubbling delayed stab hits, fluttering sub bass and evolving white noise bursts throughout. the ‘prelude’ of ‘zenstory’ opens the flip side and as the name would suggest it’s a cinematic build up to the title-track featuring tension-building, expansive atmospherics ahead of the original mix which features a thumping muted kick, stuttering atmospheric echoes and spoken word vocal tucked into the depths of the record.

one more heavy hitter on credo, and this time we could even say two tracks that form an ep as strond as the so far most sold credo-release from 2007 - bullet in your heart. the name tells already some connection to australia and indeed the basic idea came up during alex tour down under in fall 2012 where he played three cities within three days and a total of 9h playtime for which he travelled 64h in total. sydney acid is the main track of the ep, no doubt and hard to describe. it is a pure, driven technotrack with a fierce, no blubby, but very powerful acid bassline aiming at riots on the dancefloor. melbourne dub tells exactly what the track is all about and by the way featuring the sound of the local traffic lights that made alex thinking about creating some tracks related to it.

after some silence on credo due to the fact that alex was pretty busy with productions and numerous remixes for other labels, he kills it totally now with this outstanding twotracker. theory of noise delivers two unique technotracks and especially noise b shakes it down in sets all over with its remarkable groovepattern und heavy as well as warm bass structure. this is the adequate follow up on the black series of the label after the outstanding and regurarly repressed >dark summer nights< that came out two years go. alex in top-shape, grab it!

second part of recycling a la bau, heavy food this time with heavy percussion and rassling rides throughout the whole track. trikeracing is far beyond control, this track is a soundexplosion, nothing less. shuffleracing is a bit more reduced featuring a different groove and focussing on the sawtooth theme of the basic version. two more killers, no fillers, again on credo! nice feedback and support by faki, liebing, bodzin and many more, but the most defining feedback by mr. gary beck, no other words could describe it in a better way: by goodness me the trikeracing is wicked!! thats some heavy shit there. at the right moment i cant wait to play this! ... word!

two tracks that spit in the face of all those harmless, flat and cheesy >we want to be played by everybody< productions and its of course alex who takes the risk. supersonic flattens down everything with an incredible bassy basis which even almost sucks the bassdrum. classic techno and a sure shot on every technoset. centerangle on the flip is kind of slowed down and much more adventurious compared to supersonic. the breaks and the startup after them are causing riots in alexs sets right now the crispy, powerful production of this tune is nothing else as another example of alex trademark: techno in its basic sense!

we are proud to present an very talented upcoming artist from athens/greece called billy on air. growing up in a house full of music had many influences by different kinds to him. he started playing the piano at the age of 6 and that you can hear on his first production for mainrecords wich is a very aelodic and well produced hybrid between techno and trance. for his debut we got some cool remixes, the first one is from our long-time friend frank leicher who has stripped down the original to a techhouse bomb in his typical style. on the flip we present a crazy technoid remix by noone less then alex bau. his repaint uses just the essential drums of the original.
