1970, ethel agee, a local self-taught musician, and her two brothers rev. dorosco scarber and preston scarber hit the studio and recorded ethel s original composition traveling home-, a gospel piece that has remained under the radar until very recently . ethel s on piano playing as her and her brothers vocals soar above rock solid chugging funk drums, way ahead of their time.

a small run of picture sleeve to celebrate the use of slow hot wind in the tyler the creator single hot wind blows , thanks t for drawing attention to this brilliant downtempo cover off penny s now classic lp. the track of coarse originally being lujon by henry mancini, then having vocals added by sergio mendes and becoming the track slow hot wind which was then covered by penny. on the flip we decided to finally cut the full length version of too soon you re old to 45 for the first time....

this 7 inch will undoubtedly be a classic in the future.

one of the best mid-tempo disco raritys (and we mean rare) to come out the deepfunk scene. when keb darge first played party & get on down in the early 2000s in soho it put a few noses out of joint as it was such a departure from the deepfunk driving take no prisoner sound. true to kebs scottish stubbornness and like any real dj he stuck to his guns and created a dance floor favourite. athens of the north bring bab to 12inch for the first time, not only that but its a nice wee extended cut transferred direct from the master tapes. no brainier if you got class.

two massive unreleased 12&#8243,,, inch disco bangers from the obscure florida band fruit, cut loud and deep like a true disco 12 should be. the fruit band’s fleeting existence was only recently revealed by the discovery of a few unsold copies of their sole 1978 7&#8243,,, single, say it, which quickly became a cult showpiece for savvy djs and collectors.
