ein tempel ist ein ort der ruhe und mediation. ein ort an dem man sich selbst finden kann und seinen geist reinigt. im rastafari glauben ist dies kein besonderer ort oder gebäude sondern der eigene körper. es benötigt keiner institution oder eines monuments, um sich selbst und dem göttlichen näher zu sein. folglich ist jeder tempel individuell und jedes individuum ein tempel. auf 20 beats erzählt c-ras über seine spirituelle reise zu sich selbst und erlaubt den zuhörern einen einblick in seinen tempel. der junge münchner entdeckte den rastafari glauben während seiner zahllosen reisen in das land seines vaters, der karibikinsel barbados. c-ras ist bereits seit längerem in der münchner szene mit seiner band greenery force aktiv. mit seinen zwei soloalben bei keller flavour -the high and mighty- und -concept of madness- etablierte er sich als veritabler hiphop produzent.

it has been eleven long years since urbs dropped his last album which was called “toujours le meme film”. back then, the musician, dj and producer created the soundtrack to a fictitious film noir, which was released on kruder & dorfmeister‘s g-stone label, but after touring europe he almost completely retreated from public life. he does not consider his creativity as being his career, but rather as a part of his life which rarely is subject to concrete planning, and that is why urbs quite consciously took his time to create his latest –untitledalbum.
