this release bumps and bangs in all of its aspects! the track >red< rumbles out of the speaker with exuding vitality and stubbornness. considerably more lightfooted, the >black< night steps in. closely followed by number 3 >blue<, a track that is floating on a carpet of synths and at the same time goes uncompromisingly for pure rhythm. this whole ep is a series of composition focused on analog machines and taking influences from early 90s raw house. ps: made to be played loud

dj support by adultnapper & matthias kaden !! cynosure is proud to present the debut ep of one of italys finest house and techno djs, andrea fiorito. hailing from the southern city of bari, andrea brings new warmth to the otherwise ice cold italian house sound and delivers a timeless deep house original. things commence on >moderato mistico< with a subtle tribute to a close a friend that has some serious issues with partying called >boti world<. a stripped down minimal house groove with several different monster bass hooks. a killer bumping, grinding, walking bassline that heats the floor with every change up. but as we all know this is not enough to really push things to the limit, so andrea answers the call and brings the furry with givan on the sax. imagine that moment where things in your night boil over the edge and you begin to loose control. thats when givans post punk style sax attack begins to push things past the threshold of insanity. next we have the lovely >betty loop< feat the sensual voice amelia saul. a layer of percussion a la spring reverb set the pace leading into some piano chords and a giant bass hook that make up the foundation of the groove, laying the sonic rose pedals down for amelias presence to be heard. with a voice sweeter than honey and some twisted lyrics, she creates a sexy yet warped feeling in this track. and of course if the vocals were too much, you can play the dub version >betty goes to gio< and mix your heart out. with >moderato mystico< andrea fiorito lights the deep minmal house flame for cynosure closing the summer releases in style by producing heat that only a southern italian can. howie mangel

bqd40.2 is a collection of original material of artists who we signed back then. on the a side, vid’s “camelie” was an early masterpiece for the label. the mesmerising piano that shines over the beat caught everybody out and made this track one of the most loved brouqade anthems. the b1 belongs to label fave, oshana, who actually released her first production, “magdelena”, on the label. the track featured here, “something different”, was part of a digital compilation, and we’re proud to say we’ve been part of oshana’s story since the very beginning. and as we’ve been digging this track for so long, it’s now only right that it gets some a release on wax.
