cleveland is forever in search of the brown note. this is his second offering for the esp institute. side a’s tusk is a beautiful paradox—rhythm programs that churn like the inner workings of a grandfather clock, unmistakably mechanical, yet fashioned through muted analogue instrumentation that paints a deceptively organic picture. the crystallized jangle of fm synth voices toy with the softened drum patterns and vibrant animal-like chord gestures over nearly seven minutes of splendor. on side b, aku digs further into mysticism, manifesting digital jungle themes, cleverly abstracted through erratic bleeps, distant tribal drums, atonal flutters and synthetic bird calls. the cinematic quality of clevelands production shines through both tracks, but its aku that sweeps us from reality to embark on a moonlit expedition in search long lost treasures, proving cleveland a virtuoso skilled in building complex narratives with sound. these two songs will modulate your frequencies.

nice price deal !!! for its seventh release, aku welcomes molly with her debut solo ep, a sublime three tracker. the french artist has established a sterling reputation with remixes on labels such as rekids, karlovak and all inn but this is her very first collection of solo work. ‘s.b relief’ finds a home on yoyaku’s sublabel aku. over on the a side, she comes with a slight different style, throwing down a rolling beat with some minimal glitch. a round and heavy bass drives the track along while a dubby synth adds character. one for the summertime heads, you can feel the ultraviolet rays beaming out of this one. on the b side, are two deep, sultry productions, with house tropes and minimal bleeps. both cerebral, sensitive compositions, that kind of tracks that molly skill fully threads into her dj sets.

it is our pleasure to welcome triptil to aku001 with the official release of his micro, minimal, techno ep. triptil embodies romania’s emerging talent, and he enraptured us with innovative track production and top-tier dj’ing. we are now excited to embark on this adventure with triptil, and the record’s associated artwork is an additional sensory indulgence for hungry ears and eager eyes. gloved in a sleeve screen-printed by hand, the center of the vinyl is made of copper. information related to the release has been engraved in the copper. that said, there are only 300 copies, limited to one copy per customer. a scarce treasure for a rare talent.
