das ikonische belgische dj-duo 2manydjs, bestehend aus den brüder stephen und david dewaele, feiert das 20-jährige jubiläum ihres albums as heard on radio soulwax pt. 2 mit einer besonderen re-issue. 2002 erschien es ursprünglich nach einer reihe von radioshows der beiden brüder, damals vor allem bekannt als die köpfe hinter der electronic/indie-rock band soulwax. die re-issue erscheint mit dem foto von richard young auf dem cover, das ursprünglich als cover vorgesehen, aber nach rechtsstreitigkeiten mit tipp-ex verfremdet wurde.

wow, this is a turn up for the dancefloors - this new jolly jams release is by dj kaos of jolly jams records (i guess the introduction about him is not necessary). always highly collectable and rare, youll find eight jams showcasing the labels stunning sound. lay back is the opener of this beautiful ep, a house/acid stormer that is pure dancefloor dynamite. on the flip its psyche-rock class in the form of hurricane wheels. listen for yourself to the other six jams, well keep this review nice and short. dont miss out on these pieces of history!

composed of members buckshot, 5ft, and dj evil dee, black moon simultaneously kicked off and defined the rap renaissance of new york with the release of enta da stage in 1993. whereas plenty of earlier groups had spit rage-filled rhymes to tear down the world’s unjust establishments, no one had evoked brooding pathos or introspective anger quite like black moon. underground hip-hop might have been dominated by the sunny sound of g-funk when enta da stage dropped, but from then on the scene turned to the dark side. black moon was rising.

nice price deal !!! it s been a big shock for all of us to hear the sad news that our good friend andreas gehm passed away this year. his last big project is the -worldwide electronics- - series on his own label -cologne underground- which brings his friends from all over the world together. the idea of „worldwide electronics“ is to combine music from all over the world on one album (in fact, there will be a vol.2 too). the second idea was to combine well known artist with newcomer. when gehm, who runs cologne underground together with dbh distribution, ask the artist for tracks, he don’t ask for any specific style. the artist were free to deliver whatever they want. so at the end it ended up from deep house (oldschool definition, not edm definition) to acid. „worldwide electronics vol.1“ contains one track from greece (dimdj), germany (hardfloor), netherlands (baz reznik), england (perseus traxx), columbia(s.valencia) 2 tracks from japan (takeshi kouzuki and jin-cromanyon) and the first of hopefully a row of collaboration tracks from legowelt (netherlands) and elec pt.1 (germany) as „gehm & wolfers).
