christian bloch delivers two strong and sought after detroit influenced tracks on this massive release that marks his return to kontakt. diana was first featured on a very limited white label on christians own label funque dropping and it was intended for a release but due to circumstances it never happened. the legendary substance aka dj pete gives diana a massive and condensed berlin dub treatment while vc-118a takes the amazing contruct straight to dub-electro land. limited coloured vinyl.

essential repress of stunning 1977 disco-soul rarity, written, produced and arranged by the incredible team of norman connors, reggie lucas and james mtume. vitamin e, a a short-lived group that yielded only 2 singles and one long player during their time certainly knew who to work with in the studio. kiss away is an absolute belter, raw and raunchy funk riffing gives way to some ultra smooth, grown-up stepping soul awash with some stellar string arrangements. this one is definitely for the dancers, it simply glides along with the utmost class and sophistication, an incredibly uplifting and funky cut that features here in it s 1977 special disco version guise as per the original buddah records release. on the flip is a cool cover of neil sedaka s 1974 hit laughter in the rain - a sweet version, no doubt, but the real winner is the stellar a-side. reissued, remastered and re-presented for 2018 by above board distribution - 100% legit and licensed.

for quite a while now we are supporting bas van vuurde a.k.a. colophon to the fullest. the harlem based producer is a regular in our store and after some proper vinyl digging we told him that he could always send over some demos. couple of weeks later we got an email and we enjoyed it so much that we had to release it. we asked vc-118a / mohlao, who also put out music on labels such as radio matrix, lunar disco and tabernacle records, for a remix. colophon has it s own label called lowercase life, beautiful hand printed sleeves with stunning music and remixes by florian kupfer and orson wells, produces nighttime tracks for the floor with a deep but spacious melancholic feel. the heritage ep is a hommage to analog machine soul techno, as he calls it himself. deeptrax is presenting future sounds in fresh modern cuts with a stunning electro-ish remix by vc-118a.

lunar disko presents time marches on (part 1) time marches on with two various artist eps to celebrate the 20th release on lunar disko records. eight tracks encompassing the modus operandi of the label since the beginnings part 1 features three lunar disko favourites in the form of john heckle, 214, and vc-118a, alongside a label debut from upcoming dublin producer conan aka conan o’ donnell. detroit influenced electro and techno on the a-side, while the b-side transports the listener into deeper electro soundscapes.and time…is still marching on…
