once again we are sending a new release of acoustic signals from the collectively-run kindergarten at berlins east cross. after a techno focus on the last release, this one is a bit more melodic and housey. with “hot lies,” egon elliut contributes a well-crafted house track, newly revised in the “zkb taking the bus version” by one of our current favorite producers, zk bucket. with lots of love for detail, it’s a real pleasure. perel is no stranger to ://about blank. for years she has convinced us with her fantastic live sets, as a dj, she is just as grounded. “opal” sounds exactly like that — a shimmering, contemporary version of disco, an album on dfa is coming soon! our resident jessamine is releasing his first track ever on this mini compilation— rough and warm, with a touch of the 80’s in sound design, “more love later” has become a beautiful, harmonious and melodic love slider—suitable more for the later club hours. more love later!

die a-seite -annapurna-, titel-track der ep, ist das perfekte werkzeug, um zur peaktime den club in einen rave zu verwandeln. kick, ein durchdringender arpeggio, pads und ein paar effekte - wieder einmal ein beweis, dass manchmal weniger mehr ist. mit der b-seite -semikolon- zeigt sich jeremy liar von einer deeperen seite. verträumte pads, begleitet von getunten 808 cowbells und unterstützt von einer gewaltigen bassline, entsteht der vibe den man bereits von seinem remix für christoph vogel kennt. semikolon ist als gegenstück zur a-seite eine deepere produktion, die besondere momente auf open airs als auch im club garantiert. abgerundet wird die ep mit remixes von avidus, die gemeinsam mit christoph vogel eine deepere version der a-seite liefern, sowie von zk bucket, dem gründer und betreiber von zaun recordings, der aus semikolon einen echten floorkiller macht.

it took 2 years to finally release these reworks for the debut album by philogresz. taped wall of sound kinda drift from the cyclist aka buz ludzha complemented by zk bucket s straight on moody jam gives the ep a strained contrast. not to mention peak time euphoric philogresz remake of his own asakusa that is dedicated to the japanese eels in that neighborhood. gazing cutsz!

outcast oddity return for their third installment. this time with a blend of cracked up trance and left field rotterdam acid techno on the a and haunting yet beautiful melancholic house on the flip. our office favorite zk bucket added two locked grooves in between.

novoline makes music with equipment that was manufactured in 1988 and 1989, controlled via midi by two atari sts. as a sequencer he is using an algorithmic composition program that is 25 years old. with this program he creates sequences that he modulates live by shifting numbers and settings while recording. the process is improvised and contains a good portion of randomly generated melodies and drums, carefully selected and combined by novoline. the result sounds a little like something between a dark 80’s sci-fi soundtrack and an endless marching new beat extended version.

outcast oddity launch another various artists fro their second release, this time seeing four unique artists take on bumpy, pounding house and techno jams. melodic, ghostly and totally enthralling.

a-side opens with a post-apocalyptic anthem, which makes you want to sniff glue until all worlds break down. followed by sirvan, a hypnotic, self-reflective rat catcher - vocal house is back. changing sides brings you rufex, which initially takes you back to dubby berlin times, but ends up with rumbling witches playing their boneshaking rattles. mattlack rounds it up with a messy, synth-stabbing ravelifter - for doormen only!
