*** check b2: !!! *** bath-come-london party purveyors, origins, take to channelling some of their creativity into the creation of their own origins label. at the helm for the debut release is bristolian up-and-comer tommosini. having heard move d unleash the beauty of another dimension at freerotation last year, origins knew they had to find out who the mastermind behind this deep house gem was and the rest, they say, is history. another dimension transports you through the galaxies via a combination of dreamy pads, crisp percussion, full-bodied bass and those sensual deep tinged vocals. future classic in the making. the a2 i dont stop carries on the u.s flavoured deep house with a vocal house track that wouldn t be out of place coming from the shores of chicago masterfully intertwining a bumping bassline, soft organs and those introspective, luscious vocals. flip it over and you re treated to two interpretations of another dimension. first up fellow bristol bass badboy, hodge, serves up a signature remix, chopping the vocals and layering them behind a pounding kick and machine gun percussion to give that bass heavy flavour hes become so well known for. deadbeat steps up to close out the ep with a heavyweight techno rework of the original, complete with hypnotic bleeps, phased hats, and intermittent sub bass goodness, all tied together with a driving kick to give a real industrial feel to the remix.
sean miller makes a triumphant return to seth troxler’s play it say it imprint with a new single that has already been getting played by tastemakers like luciano. in addition to the original, k’alexi shelby serves up a fine remix that makes this another vital package.
julian sanza and andre espeut, are two very familiar names in the scene. julian, who hails from argentinian/cuban roots and andre with his french/caribbean heritage, come together to merge electronic dance, modern funk, soul and boogie, creating their own unique melting pot of goodness! there s something distinctly anthemic about perfect system . low slung, synthed up funk, with a house tinge driven by those sweet soulful vocal harmonies - sure to get stuck in your head for days. opolopo opens up the e.p. adding his trademark disco remix magic touch to the original - upping the tempo, laying a shuffling beat behind, pumping up the bassline and getting spiritual on the keys. on the flip the situation remix channels the inner improv funk, keeping the vocals to choice snippets before the sare havlicek dub rounds the e.p. off reworking the bass synth to the point where it exudes the sleaze. this is the first in a series of collaborations between these two… keep those eyes peeled!
this box set is limited to 500 units only
following the completely sold out ‘imagine – a – nation’ and ‘le fusion’ reissues, anotherday brings you a very special release from the vault of the enigma that is spencer kincy, aka gemini - we are very proud, and extremely excited to present gemini’s first 4 releases, lovingly re-mastered and packaged together in a very limited box set! originally released on relief records, the chicago techno label headed up by cajmere, these releases were gemini’s introduction into the worlds of house and techno, and contain some of his most vital works. as one of chicago’s most mysterious and revered characters, the story of gemini, aka spencer kincy has become something of a myth in recent years – blazing a trail throughout the 90’s, prolifically releasing over 200 tracks from 1994 to 1999, spencer’s music had shades innovation and soul few of his peers could match. then, suddenly, at the peak of his career, he disappeared.
taken from the forthcoming dekmantel lp center parcs by esoteric dutch production duo betonkust & palmbomen ii, comes the leo/ mirjam’. the track is a rendition of upbeat-melancholic, future- retroism, and a slice of saturated house music. the flip features a special, unyielding, acid-tempo rework by legowelt. likely to vanish soon.. tip!
we are very happy to announce the fourth instalment of secrete society with the mental piece of music filled with dark atmospheres ideal to take you to the next dimension on the dancefloor.
rene provides tracks with obscure melodies full of feelings and ambient soundscapes, reminiscent of movie track called drums & kora. on the flipside we are proud to have a legend on the remix duties. jichael mackson provides his first remix after 11 years filled with his unique strong basslines giving a alternate dark & spacey version of rene’s original.
ambient track called aja closes the ep with satellite sounds behind modular signals.
as part of the ten-year anniversary dekmantel presents the final record in a ten-part-ep series. split into two parts due to its immensity, the final instalment is a re-issue of tony allens asiko (in a silent mix) originally released in 1999 and remixes by motor city drum ensemble and ricardo villalobos. the first part features a grandiose 29-minute ricardo villalobos version of the afrobeat masters cut. a true collaboration of giants.having been a regular at the festival for several years now, villalobos delivers a remix, one of his longest to date, that only he can produce. allowing the percussion to breathe into a monumental rhythm, villalobos warps the vocals, restructuring the bass and drums into a rolling dub-fusion of techno that is characteristic of his remixes to date, yet still breathtaking in its execution. afrobeat-minimalism, with dub-infused fire, and near psychedelic ambience that perfectly synchs the worlds of tony allen, and ricardo villalobos, two legends who’ve helped re-shape the face of music. highlighting the diversity of sounds that have come to represent the dutch label and festival series, the eps to date have encompassed a range of artists and genres, featuring label favourites, as well as whole bunch of debuting artists. the ep series kicked off in march 2018, and over the course of a year featured the likes of gigi masin, lena willikens, burnt friedman, donato dozzy, the egyptian lover, palms trax, and more.
“remains”, magda ter’s sophomore album, has been created over the past two years changing its shape several times. it is a compromise between static, experimental background music and soothing techno glimpses with some samples of acoustic instruments. as a result, the album has contemplative colours, although hidden beneath the surface of seemingly uninvolved sounds.
due to this fact ter’s music cannot be pigeonholed. one can even say that “remains” leaves the audience with a huge amount of space for their own feelings and interpretations of the individual sequences, while simultaneously dropping some vague cues. thus, we are dealing with one of the most intriguing electronic polish releases in recent years.
belfast-producer space dimension controller, akajack hamill, may be landing his debut release on dekmantel, but hes definitely no stranger to their shores. with the three-track ep gaining time clocking in at over 35-minutes, phasing between cosmic kaleidoscopic house, and serene, epic ambient, a sonic atmosphere reminiscent of the background resonance the galaxy permeates on a daily basis hamills dekmantel debut is closer to that of an album, than your average set of club 12inches.
especial specials and deek recordings return with the second vinyl sampler of the covered in gloria album. as before, deek s bullion pulls together the label s alumni and homies a gamut of talent and styles feature, from suzanne kraft, minor science, sultan shakes, eyedress and geller & kaya.
paper recordings ben davis takes off his flash atkins cape and mask to launch a new project exploring things left of centre and balearic. in these disposable times, stubb will celebrate community and diy with a limited run of 300 vinyl screen-printed kraft card sleeves of commissioned illustrations by artist rachel johns plus hand-drawn labels by hebden bridge s the egg factory. we are launching is a journey in to psychedelic balearia with one of the most exciting artists of recent years, jane weaver her mercury music prize long-listed album modern kosmology was described by the guardian as -a lean and thrillingly addictive slice of unearthly pop-. the stubb collaboration is a sublime head trip to the deep reaches of space and electronica with hallucinatory guitars, burbling synths and arpeggiators that are beautifully set off by jane s ethereal vocals. mike lindsay is founder and producer of folktronica pioneers tunng and his distinctive tones sing the praises of doing nothing on boring days, which is psychedelic leftfield pop at its finest. the track is locked down by a nagging fifth bass with vocal pops, hand claps, muted afro guitar, washed synths and arps that build before the choruses hit in a wave of analogue keyboards and fuzz guitar. after that, a gloriously stretched outro takes you straight to the mediterranean. there s also an edited instrumental that brings out the sunshine...
to celebrate the 10th anniversary of dekmantel’s goings on in the world of events, festivals, and great music, the team behind the label have been releasing a record a month featuring some of their favourite artists, as part of a ten-year anniversary series collection. featuring acts close to the label’s collective, debuts, and legacy talents the crew have always wanted to sign, the series has seen the likes of gigi masin, call super, fatima yamaha, and more. this penultimate ep, sees dekmantel debut releases by lena willikens, space dimension controller, and dutch lo-fi star betonkust and palmbomen, in addition to a special cut by bufima
mandala trax aka shingo suwa and dj mori is releasing a first ep on merkur schallplatten. shingo has established the label in 2008. dj mori is working as resident dj at suicide circus berlin. they often performed at many clubs in the city. their first collaboration includes two different versions of rave influenced techno remixes by anna bolena. anna is music producer, promoter and video maker, she is an underground activist since the 80 s. she runs the label idroscalo dischi since 1999 and since 2005 the video production company idroscalo digitale. they both are working as resident for buttonÆs party at ://about blank. a1, their very first track, is called 11pm. the main solid synth line features deep kick drums surrounded by dubby industrial effects in the background. on a2 we find a heavy bottom groove, surrounded by echoes in a dark atmosphere. hand claps and white noises are driving any techno floor. the b side includes two different version by anna bolena. she produced some 90Æs rave structures affected by her experimental senses.
following on from the 2017 lp paradygm shift by robert hood released on dekmantel records, the detroit legend returns to the imprint to deliver the final installment in a trilogy of ep releases that initially began back in february 2016. now based in alabama, the detroit-techno producer is returning to his roots. embracing the trademark, minimal, funk techno sounds that defined his earlier career, paradygm shift vol. 3 is classic hood, operating in new, and uncharted ways.
native new yorker son of sound aka henry maldonado returns to delusions of grandeur with another fine ep including two floor-friendly originals plus a stripped back remix from aroop roy. for those too young to have been buying records in the early 90’s henry was a key figure, involved in seminal releases on strictly rhythm as house 2 house, maxi records as deja vu and maw records as rhythm section. to say this guy has history is something of an understatement having made an important contribution to the first wave of deep house with productions dating right back to ’91. more recently he has created magic for jus ed’s underground quality, classic, razor n tape and local talk as well as establishing his own district30 imprint.
in case you don t know what to play’, is committed to the world of dancing, drawing eclectic inspiration from the streets of tokyo, traditional african rhythms, us underground techno and the sound of recklinghausen.
noble square celebrates its 10 year anniversary with chicagos ricardo miranda & k joys 12inch do you want me & the dj knows what i like. the original master reels were lost so the yonurican soul brotha ricardo made new disco & proto house music for both tracks. bonus track included!
one vinyl, two tracks, three artists. this is how the latest va from zimbru could be summed up.
on side a we have a driving mysterious groove amped up by the sexy bassline and the deep moody atmosphere. sahauʼ,,,,,,,,s track is immersed in an electro eclectism that is meant to be subtle and dynamic at the same time. this was recorded live and itʼ,,,,,,,,s pressed as it was.
side b is the dark side for sure. this time itʼ,,,,,,,,s only kozo and dan andrei (ak41) and their rendering is a hypnotic 12 minute long piece layered with a multitude of sounds ranging from the crickets and jungle birds to the more electronic bubbly and metallic tones. itʼ,,,,,,,,s named after paul who had already left the building when this was recorded.
every piece of paper has its own role in the big picture of a complex collage. every fractal structure finds the same pattern as we continue to zoom into it. apply these facts to the echoes and reverbs wrapped around the atmosphere that resides into distant dub references and you can catch a fair glimpse from the newest motif release.
a master in applying the laws of reductionism within his signature sound, adrian niculae signs yet another powerful statement under the motif vision: consensual ep

pressure traxx welcomes the backstage boys to our silver series. being regular faces on stages (and backstages) like sunwaves in romania and well educated dancefloor audiences all around the globe, these boys know the deal. dan andrei, andrei ciubuc and serban goanta aka kozo all individually made quite an impact in the past few years. for followers of a more subtle and smart club sound, these three names stand for constant quality. this release sees them combine forces for the first time in these two mind bending cuts, going deep down the rabbit whole with some truly exciting sonic adventures.
nice price deal !!! follow up to dubsons release earlier this year comes a split ep from bocaje and serdal. bocaje is a talented young producer and dj out of france who has released on labels such as utique and recordeep. he brings a smooth yet distinctly intelligent flare to the a side with hypnotic dancefloor orientated rhythms and fat basslines. the b side features serdal, one of the co-owners of vayvay and masterminds behind the homemade party series, making him a well known figure in the nürnberg house scene. he offers the listener a breakbeat tool for the heads, aimed strongly towards after hour euphorics.
a newborn imprint with an obscure name makes the perfect home for kozo to showcase some of his studio work under the ooodjkoz alter ego.
uncle tom’s tune needs all its 13 minutes to develop, with the melodic pattern fading in and out the wobbly baseline, like hiding from the sci fi sounds scattered throughout the track. crafted to please crowds that enjoy to be cooked slowly, milly van illy takes it to a more dynamic pace, stiching the groove beneath the percussions and storing all the energy into the hi hats. as for lady gargara, we’re gratified with a twisted cocktail of chopped voices stuttering on broken drum loops.
uncommon as it may sound, drag and drob ep is here to add some spice to your record collection.
back in stock since a long time ... for years, jeff mcilwain has been recording music as lusine that expertly straddles the electronic/pop divide, with a certain distance, mcilwain cracks open his productions to reveal the beauty lurking within. a certain distance sees mcilwain employing human vocals and pop structures, hooks and melodies in the service ofsomething warmer and more welcoming than the lusine of old. mapping human emotions via technology may be an insurmountable task, but a certain distance brings mcilwain closer than most to achieving the impossible.
finnish techno icon mono junk aka kim rapatti joins forces with berlin based freestyle man aka klas sasse lindblad, known for his productions on classic labels like sähkö and moodmusic. pata ep starts with the hard hitting techno title ‘not a love story’, haunting vocals, simple synthline, slicing percussion and deep bassdrum, all u need to make an effect, this must be heard in a big sound system. following with ‘need your lovin’ the ep takes a more electro approach, mesmerising love story with jupiter-8 bassline and 808 beats accompanied with vocals on this track too by mr rapatti. the ep ends with ‘stella polaris’, a production which started as a jam in 2007 in berlin at sasse’s blackhead studios and was finished 10 years later in 2017 in the same location. reminiscing of early 90s electronica time when everything was pure and gold and when these fellows also were starting their careers. ‘stella polaris’ leaves no one cold with emotional themes of analog synthesis and depth of the bass.
smbd aka simbad is back on gamm turf again after a longer break and is planning a few eps with seasonal themes for gamm. the first ep is summer and as you might expect he delivers three tasteful summer influenced reworks and remixes which we hope will be your perfect dj weapons over the summer months. if the broken(ish) co-op with alphabet s heaven of bootsy collins (rather be with you) won t do it for you or the supa soulful colonel abrams tribute (table 4 2) don t grab your attention, we guarantee that the stunning 4/4 rework with mike lowrey of jazzy jeff s summer classic (summertime) will be the cut at any summer festival...big jam if u ask us!
infuse return for their first release of 2017 with a fresh new look and talent in the shape of jack wickham, who provides a vinyl only 4 tracker of dance floor goodness. exchange kicks things off with a perky tech houser with an emphasis on groove whilst kotone delves deeper. cos keeps the energy high with a kinetic slice of tech-funk and brick rounds things off nicely with a brisk & sprightly romp.
