following our first release with opal, which aimed at the dance and the bodies, we wanted with this second ep to reach to people’s mind. as a geneva-based techno label, it was fundamental to work with our local hero: opuswerk. he’s already been working outside of the country with artists like francois x and labels such as arts, semantica or dement3d. it was time we involved him in our project. through this ep, opuswerk clearly shows what he knows and does best. much like his dj sets, he connects dots and layers in unexpected ways, like a rhizome connecting different multiplicities. inspiration for the original tracks came from designing systems of independent yet connected sounds, where events are triggered, un-triggered and alter other events, each behaving on their own. as one of those elements, the artist acts as a guide, directing them from one place to the next acting as and with the machines. the -mot d’ordre- is about becoming one of the machines, blending techniques with vibes and catching them like ever escaping dreams. the result is two uniquely sounding spaces, either filled with raw energy like on extensum or with subtle and serene ever-evolving bleeps on spatium. those two extremes are fitting to how we want present the multiple dimensions of our artists works to the world. the same logic went into choosing the remixers, with whom opuswerk had a human connection with. inland and antigone need no introductions, having both established their sound on labels like countercharge or token. each brought their own re-interpretations of the original tracks bringing them closer to the dancefloors.

new project and new label from the creators of the fantastic 808 box, fundamental records. there are many details that make this project something really unique. these records will become classics if they are not already!. the music of every record is very special, also the artwork and the technic use to print each sleeve, but the concept behind this project something you need to understand, as you can read in the website everything is based in two factors: first, to provide the artist with complete anonymity in order to create in absolute freedom. second, to offer the listener the work of the artist without any external distortions. the use of words to describe or define music is a senseless task. most of the time the intention of descriptive text is not to shed light on the work of the artist, but rather to serve as a promotional tool to drive sales and increase recognition. this often has the unfortunate result of limiting the creator and his work. music is all we need, any other additives are completely dispensable.

teaming up again with the master of junglist vocals – mc fats and employing the classic soulful vibes of legend cleveland watkiss, break created a full vocal single, with both artists featuring on both sides. we are the people weaves mellow and uplifting piano chords with a strong verse from cleveland, switching to fats for his lick to cut into a heavy drop. weighty wobbling jungle subs, peppered with warm synth bass melodies carry this summery roller through, with both vocalists complimenting each others flavours stylishly. a blissed out dreamy breakdown gets you chilled for a switch back to the second drop bassline, going low and long with the subs. a chilled summery feel good vibe, with some backbone!
midnite classic, rolling in a heavy reggae skank loop for the intro sets a great backdrop for cleveland’s very catchy lyrics and melody. switching to fats for a minimal dnb build up and dropping with his renowned vocal style cutting over the bassline on a junglist style drop. a classic old skool feeling but still with a fresh modern edge, this is an addictive club tune, capturing raw vibes that are always needed in the dance.

any disco dj worth their weight in vinyl knows the name donnell pitman, and until now this has been mostly due to his highly sought after work of the late 70s and early 80s. renewed interest in donnell has reached critical peak over the past few years, fueled by red greg’s feature of donnell’s seminal “love explosion” on joey negro’s under the influence vinyl compilation series and chicago’s numero group putting out long forgotten, unreleased boogie bangers “burning up” and “taste of honey” in 2015.
it was this refreshed enthusiasm that caught the attention of producer kumar mcmillian of chicago-based disco ensemble wings of sunshine. kumar’s group was looking for another vocal collaborator following their 7” debut release on star creature records. a casual introduction led to an informal studio session between the two culminating in a modern disco masterpiece.

phillipe quenum, cadenza co-founder and long-time dj & producer emerges on serialism records armed with a soulful, four-track ep just in time for spring. widely known for co-producing the 2003 hit, orange mistake, as well as a myriad of other first-rate outputs, this gifted producer needs no introduction. quenums another day ep is right at home on serialism, a label that’s known for its consistent and classic dance-floor orientated releases from the likes of frank haag, sierra sam and jin choi. laden with emotive, ascending synths, abyssal atmospheres and dubby basslines, this record is the true mark of a seasoned producer. from the percussive and texturized arrangement of another day to the chicago inspired oscillating goodness of my furious thing, to the late night deep vibes of everyday people to the nu-jazz flecked digital only electric prayer, quenum knows how to evoke emotion on the dancefloor. each track is the perfect backdrop for the onset of the spring / summer season, all four cuts melodic and deep, infused with elements of chicago house, and touches of both soul and jazz. this timeless release further affirms quenum’s rightful place as one of the top producers in the game.

i just woke and its pretty cold outside. i havent opened the window yet, but i somehow know it and im listening to these six tracks again and try to make an approximation of why and how i have done this ep. they are pretty different from each other but tell the same story or at least are part of the same one as a matter of fact. maybe they were done as an excuse for my overdue album which is scheduled again for this year or maybe just because i was going through some odd times and needed to immerse myself in doing something. in this case music. more the latter i guess. ok so, the opening track is in a way the end of an era and the last one the opening of a fresher one. and the rest fills in the gaps in between those two moments i guess. i hate conceptual things anyways. i never know or want to know why i do certain things. concepts define something before it already begins its existence and trying to explain why is pretty useless. so here it is. the recording of a certain period of time in my tiny existence. with collaborations with jaw (dop), my brother atilla, who is also responsible for the artwork, and jonny cruz. by the time its out itll be a distant memory for me but hope it lasts a bit longer for anyone that listens to it

next up in the apparel music limited series is loure with a 4 track ep which also includes a remix by saine. the name of this work by the aussie is smooth talk and it contains all the stylistic elements that make the melbournian one of the most talented in the scene at the moment. the ep kicks off with the title track which can be certified as a dancefloor banger with its solid rhythmics and the smooth synths playing along with a hint of acid keeps going with mutual motion which gives a display of what this guy can do in terms of creating spacey deep harmonies, such a groovy way to lower the tones before the remix of the 1st track smooth talk. saine here puts his signature once again with another banging tune crafted on loure sounds, adding his touch with deep percussions, a substantial compact beat with a bass-line that will get you carried away. the closing track is the right decompression after a journey through sounds: rolling snares, vocal samples chasing each other and a happy touch to finish in style.

just as magnified record grooves reveal dust constellations and lunar landscapes, so too does godblesscomputers’ third album. “solchi” is a deep search into previous moments in lorenzo nada’s lifetime, influenced by the presence and power of music. his process began with the recovery of some old cassettes, mixtapes nearly forgotten, audio recording of voices from his childhood, and lots of dusty jazz, soul, and hip-hop records. as the starting point of this travel merge with its end, past and present combine to form gbc’s current sound. warm electronic production rooted by grooving bass lines form the core of a kaleidoscope of sixteen tracks, colored by synthesizers, guitar echoes, scratches, samples, fading voices and kalimba. the album is a collection of sixteen stories, sixteen soundscapes, each of them gbc’s tribute to the path taken thus far, an homage to his love for music. the recording and studio work took place over a year, with the adding and subtracting of many elements. for this project, gbc invited several musicians into his home studio, both old friends and new. they helped to recreate the sounds of the original recovered recording, as well as add fresh ideas to the project.

to progress towards a civilization which does not unconsciously perpetuate or aggravate inequality and poverty, we need to accept our many differences. for those who prefer uniformity or others who would rather avoid proximity, the celebration of diversity might sound ridiculous. a certain measure of discomfort is required to reach compassion. but peace through diversity is no prophet’s fantasy. it is no harder to imagine than the magical fact that we are alive right now. the eternal act of dancing is one of the most active form of contemplation. facing our own selves in the mirror of movement, we realize that we indeed are reflections of one another at all times. what will our own actions and thoughts feed around us? with over 30 years of combined dancefloor experience, possible futures have been witnesses to the wildest fauna and flora the great nocturnal jungle has to offer. sourcing their inspiration from the many shades of color that co-exist between black and white, it is through the open and eclectic selections of inspired and devoted luminaries that possible futures have found their manyfold sound: frankie knuckles, larry heard, francois k, carl craig, moritz von oswald, dj harvey, theo parrish, chez damier, ron trent, dj deep or moodymann, amongst so many others, have dedicated their lives to the flourishing of diversity on the dancefloor. while the minds of possible futures float in the air with their bodies rotating behind the turntables, their feet are steadily rooted in reality, enabling their musical knowledge to unfold beyond the night. through their own record label, possible futures share their therapeutic musical blends. the first two cuts come from the grooves of argentine old hand leonel, a family friend of long date. “antares” and “bunda” drag their dusty trails across different genres, to be enjoyed at 45 rotations per minute. curative properties guaranteed.

if you are wondering what the artist wanted to tell you by choosing this title, we will give you a small hint: it’s a cynical statement on something that for sure every party promoter has experienced at some point. the rest, we will leave up to your imagination… in real life, there’s no mercy – neither is when it comes to the sound of this new snork release by syntax error. the four new tracks with meaningful names are not only a social criticism and another artistic processing of the current development of the techno scene, but also a classic syntax error: rough, tricky and good to groove. each track stands on its own, telling another story. “collateral cosmopolitan” is a straight forward piece with a highly memorable beat talking about the uniformity that is creeping in the waiting lines of more and more techno clubs. “i wear my grandpa’s glasses” presents a totally dodgy sound, which might be a little oldschool and even a little irritating – just like some fashion items you encounter on today’s big city streets. “no fog is no solution” is a tight song that definitely needs some good fog and a harsh strobe. and finally, the last track sounds like a futuristic fairy tale from outer space looking on the world as if it is a “society bathysphere”.

if you want something done right, sometimes you just have to do it yourself. in a world filled with false gurus and misguided leaders, so goes the mantra of the new york duo walker & royce. after a swift rise in recent years during which time they pioneered a sound that is often imitated but never replicated sam walker and gavin royce have used this mantra as the impetus for their debut album self help, on their label home dirtybird. in order to grow, one often has to look inward, and the pair set out on a trail of self-discovery and advancement. their journey has resulted in a diverse album that evokes a range of emotion and fervor, one that can be appreciated both on the way to a club as well as feverishly dancing to it in one. walker & royces signature production is in exceptional form on their solo tracks, such as why tho, warkin it, best track ever and sunday. the way they contrast heavy, low-end bass and beats with pristine melodies arises from the first thing they ask themselves when they fire up their studio: will we play this? the pair has also continued to push the boundaries of their minted formula for a bigger purpose, enlisting several distinct vocalists and collaborators to captivating effect. the legendary green velvet lends his vocal talent to rub anotha dub, and longtime friend dances with white girls appear on two memorable tracks, including the hit single take me to your leader. other collaborators such as sophiegrophy, oncue, forrest and mr. jpatt each introduce their own individual elements to the album, rounding out the varied tones and feelings that comprise the self help masterpiece. the road to self-discovery is filled with many bumps and obstacles, but with self help, walker & royce have proven that theyve got the keys and in the driver’s seat

airhead has put out some great music this year. kicking off with the radiophonic ice of kazzt for mumdance s different circles and just recently the low slung cristobal on ps records his production chops get bolder by the minute. it s no surprise seeing as he spent much of the previous year producing key tracks for the incredible -1-800 dinosaur presents trim- album alongside bullion and boothroyd as well as regularly touring and writing with long-time musical partner james blake. back with another 12- on hemlock, his first since 2014 s rolling october / macondo this time the sound is dustier, warmer, but packing twice the punch all the while retaining his signature understated wild-man groove. both tracks are capable on dancefloor whilst richly layered, packed with detail and arranged for maximum connectivity with contemporary beat styles such as house, techno and breaks. what happened to ricky martin? shaded is the twisted latin stepper you didn t know you needed, so much, right now. polished drums dug into a tweaky sci-fi soundbed make way for the curveball drop not every dj will be able to style out but those brave few that do will reap the reward. captain, we have an incoming transmission. by now, antipolo will be on the long-range scanners of a several fleets in this sector and is finally ready for replication and deployment. beaming out to the far reaches of the dancefloor we have bass, breakbeats and synth hooks but not as we know it together forming an advanced composite bond of extreme strength and malleability.

blue hawaii is the songwriting, production, and dj project of raphaelle ‘ra’ standell and alexander ‘agor’ kerby. after some four years apart, the duo rekindled their creative flame in 2016 and begun writing music about an intimate relationship ra was experiencing mostly over instant messaging, sparking ideas about the meaning of closeness in our highly connected world. tenderness is a concept album which brings forth the challenges of handling relationships online. maintaining closeness over distance and a need for more tenderness between each other - both in real and virtual life - are important themes in the album s progression. the album draws upon influence from 90 s dance tracks and deep disco cuts, often mixed with ra’s acoustic guitar playing. it unfolds like a play and each song being supported by shorter interlude pieces: skits, phone calls, acoustic demos, real life samples and quiet left-turns.

naoki e-jima s disc shop zero record store in tokyo holds a special place in our hearts. since before idle hands was even established, when rooted records was king, the cosy, liberally stocked shop has served as a sympathetic outpost for bristol s rich culture of soundsystem music. over the years, naoki has championed all the best music to come from our fair city, from smith & mighty through to pinch and pev and on to the output from our own humble label. it s been a vital connection to help our music reach the right heads on the other side of the world, in turn providing a platform for our most treasured artists to gig and further the cause of the music we love. as a thank you for all the support naoki has shown bristol music over the years, idle hands has put together a special tribute 10inch of tracks that chime with his particular musical tastes, shining a light on some complementary gems that might have otherwise never seen the light of day. its also a chance to fill in the missing idle013 catalogue number – fortunately, the number 13 does not represent bad luck in japanese culture. on the a-side, the mighty (pun intended) rob smith takes to a track from outboxx s debut album, originally intended for a remix 12inch that never came to be. in his learned hands, lost soul becomes a shimmering stepper marked out by beautiful cascading arpeggios and of course plenty of fulsome bass, with arresting fragments of vocal drifting in and out of the mix for good measure. rob s status as a true legend of bristol music needs no explanation, but his presence here is furthermore because naoki is such a fan of his music. on the b-side, atki2 makes a welcome return to the label after bringing a classic ray of sunshine to idle hands on the second single we ever put out. as well as being a big release for us, it was apparently huge at disc shop zero, so it feels right to bring the effervescent hes royal to this 10inch release. with a sunny disposition at heart, these two tracks make sense sharing a 10inch, but it s even more fitting that they sit side by side as we doff our caps to a true hero of the global underground. thanks, naoki.

collection of recordings from one of tanzania’s most revered but short-lived bands of the 1970s, sunburst. covering their entire output from 1973 to 1976, this first retrospective features music from their 45 rpm singles on moto moto and tfc label, as well as their sole album, “ave africa”, and an unreleased radio session recorded in tanzania in 1973.
this release comprises of the double vinyl and a copy of the cd version, which contains extra tracks.

the countdown has begun! polish mastermind kuba sojka digs into his wide repertoire of influences to bring us this latest release on cosmic club. each of the 4 tracks is distinctly unique, standing out from one another through kuba s varied uses of synths and percussion. -countdown- is reminiscent of those early detroit movements in techno and electronica, instantly reminding me of the likes of dopplereffekt, which is certainly no bad thing. the vibe of -getaway- is exactly as the name would suggest, pumping arpeggiated synths accompanied by piercing snares that evoke images of a neon-drenched, italo-fueled 80 s action film. try and not feel energised to this, we dare you. on the flip, -ego- scratches the itch for something deep, filtered sounds galore with a bit of that garagey swing. rounding off, -everything will be ok- drops the tempo and commences the much-needed cleansing after the pure energy that has come on the track before, this is my new 5am watch-the-sun-rise tune. kuba knows and delivers with this essential record! as usual : vinyl only.

oxias classic domino gets reworked for its ten year anniversary - in 2 vinyl parts. a decade after initially seeing the light, oxias now classic domino gets reworked to celebrate its anniversary. the new release features a new cut by oxia himself as well as several remixes by none other than frankey & sandrino, robag wruhme and matador. the ep will be released through agoria’s newly found record label sapiens on february 24th. ten years ago the track made waves in the international dance music circuit, striking up chords with techno, trance and house djs alike to quickly become an all-time classic. having never expected the track to reach the status that it his, its a very dear project to oxia and he needed quite some persuading to give in and let agoria and his team create something that was worthy of the original. the set of tracks are the first officially commissioned remixes by oxia ever. finding remixers took some time, the amazing frankey & sandrino whos track acamar is my absolute favourite of 2015, matador that just launched his rukus label as well is the multi-talented ex label mate at kompakt robag wruhme. they are all incredibly gifted and fortunately patient enough to wait for this ep

fresh off son of sound releases on delusions of grandeur and local talk, new york based henry maldonado is back on his district 30 label with son of sound 05 / the love up beat down. this 3-tracker features something for everyone, as jackin house, disco-chug and even detroit techno are well represented.

chord memory! the hymn for the widely used feature in 80s hardware synthesizers got some individual rewiring done. if ten fingers ain’t enough hyboid uses his galactic memory for punchy disco purposes while robyrt hecht reaches for a swinging pivot memory to sweep and swipe your electro habits. on the other hand milium likes the exposed wires of his mutiny memory to revolt whereas cco simulates his natural echoic memory with floating acid sparks. completing the mechanical rewiring the duo nachtzug added delicate software to execute the algorithms and installed a memory loss button, if you are in need of a reset.

new years deal - 10 years of thema is not a milestone we take lightly, and we have absolutely no intention of slowing down. in fact we will be celebrating with a string of releases commemorating this accomplishment starting with this ep and going through to our 50th release with an all star line up ready for battle. sometimes there is a sound that lifts you so high you can’t possibly come down. its the kind of sound that many strive for, but few can ever reach. uk mainstay aubrey has been hitting this pinnacle for years through his releases on renowned imprints such as metroplex, ostgut ton, and skudge, as well as his very own solid groove records. * the reflection* ep comes as no exception. as only a dj and producer of his stature can do, aubrey goes above and beyond to take the listener through a spectrum of moods that culminate in a rounded and complex experience. from the uplifting, fast paced pads in *peligro 45* to the disorienting rhythmic voodoo of * roger doger* and peak energy drive of * train to the fire* there is a sense of direction and otherworldly ambiance that will take any dance floor to the place it needs to be

since it was very hard to grow musically or in any other artistic way in regard of our surroundings, we always had a need to find inspiration somewhere else. things that were a given for some were far fetched and hard to come by. a distant dream. that s why we decided to go forward. a final push to reach the place we wanted to be. a place we can call home.

welcome back to the movielike resonating sound world of the 23s. already in 2008 the mysterious one-man band proofed with the album “bolivia” that they are trying to do another kind of music – something that isn’t entertainment, something that isn’t show, something that goes gently straight to your soul. now the producer from nord-rhine-westphalia did it again and tuned in the longplayer “flamingo”. anew he delivers a special kind of cinematic journey music that grooves opposite to his other, more rhythm based hypnotic dance productions. also as the 23s he produces pattern-based music, but it pursues a different intention: each listener should dive into a hallucinatory world of seen and unseen films that his inner eye creates unprejudiced. all ten tracks are romantic smooth operators. they put themselves in service of an artistic vision, in which the listener should get lost in music. the album can be seen as a love-letter to the movie scores of the french 70s cinema or the impressionistic sound arrangements you can hear in the early cinema of peter greenaway. with double bass heat, discreet piano melodies, levitating guitar chords, some gentle horns here and there and beats that recollect the warm jazz influenced soul of oldschool hip-hop the 23s generate a sublime get-down-deep instrumental journey. you can listen to it attentive. or you can just play it in the back while doing whatever you like to do. it is recommended to play “flamingo” in a decent amount of volume as all loungey tracks begin to live bigger and brighter with sound intensity. if you play it flashy you will experience an atmospheric sometimes light-flooded, sometimes foggy 40-minute electronic journey that offers open-minded souls to fill the room between the notes with their very own milky fancy. soon the album will be accompanied by a bunch of remixes tuned in and twisted by producers like giegling and white artists edward, christian s of the cómeme tribe, canadian producer the mole and the german post rock and electronic music band to rococo rot.

the shadeleaf music label has finally got your attention it seems ! breakthrough 12 s across their first 5 releases have firmly established thatmanmonkz s label of love as a heavyweight deep house contender ! ever keen to open up the crease to new batsmen, the guys have assembled a deadly duo of big hitters for their their sixth innings. belarus, not perhaps the first place you d think of when it comes to solid house music, but four walls have certainly dropped more than their fair share of jams across labels of note like kolour ltd & traxx underground. here s he s teamed up with fellow grodno resident funkyjaws for a style that s firmly fixated with the roots us house blueprint, but with a fresh take, that s all their own. saine ought to need no introduction, but for those at the back, across a mere handful of releases (his sleazybeats ep was one of our fastest selling...ever !) this young talent has made quite a mark - his drifter ep on must have is one of our favourite house 12 s of recent times. what better way to demonstrate the shadeleaf spirit of collaboration then getting these two established up-and-comers to reinterpret each other s work ? live organic percussion, and the warming hiss and glow of machine circuits conspire to deliver perfectly balanced hip-shaking equations and low end theories. and that s just the f side !. flip for the s side (get it ?) and we re into theoesque territory, with a rasping riff snaking through some deft rhodes work and to-the-bone rhythms, while four walls & funkyjaws offer up a swinging and irresistible rub to wrap it all up top shelf tackle ladies and gents

the last 12 inch in the invisible sunrise remix series and to say they have saved the best until last would be unfair on all the other amazing remixes but this really is a doozy. quiet village do what they do best - an exceedingly epic 13 minute tropical jungle chugger that transcends time and space to take you on a trip you are never going to forget. without a doubt one of the best things we have heard from qv in quite some time. on the flip the advisory circle provide what is perhaps the most beautiful remix - melodic, inventive and deeply lush. an anthemic come down for those moments when you need a big audio hug. simply gorgeous. lastly seahawks leave us with an unreleased mix of crystal beach which sounds like george benson tripping his nuts off on a beach in hawaii at 5am….languid jazz guitar, slo mo beats, the sound of the waves and some deep electronics ... what more could you want? seahawks at their finest and one more reason this is an essential purchase. swim on forever.

spring zero thirteen finally arrived here in vienna, and with it a busy luv shack schedule to shout about. this time the boys deliver a delicious double header coming in two parts. yes, luv10 comes in two vinyl slices spread out over a few weeks. and you will need all eight tracks too as the label gets really serious with some heavyweight dance music, including a first for them in inviting major guest appearances from the likes of rocco raimundo, mike burns, dj rocca, ben sun & tyson ballard as voyeurhythm, rotciv and radio diffusion. the label is spreading its wings and, it is the right time to invite others to come roost in the shack and spread the luv.

we keep the good-times rolling along on the kolour mothership with the debut ep of deep-disco don debonair. we have been taking notes on this guy since we heard his first tune and ever-since, he just seems to move from strength to strength with each tune that is released. needless to say, when the opportunity arose for us to debut his first full-on solo ep, it was the epitome of a no-brainer for us. debonair shows us all facets of his musical capability with a melting pot of music ranging from the traditional debonair deep-disco sound to slo-mo beat-down business, deep-fused funk, with a dash of beautiful baleric sprinkles for good measure.

after a two-year break, detroit producer and wayward star-child jimmy edgar debuts on scubas hotflush recordings armed with an album full of futuristic sleaze. known for his unique take on jacking house and electro funk, he has recently been splitting his time between the us and berlin, exploring transcendental meditation and the boundaries of the non-physical. this offering is an extension of that journey, bringing eleven tracks of erotic robo-pop to the table. titled majenta, this lp is a departure from his past sound, marking a shift in his own ever-expanding consciousness, as well as another exciting chapter of his musical career. each track is an aural manifesto, giving well-deserved nods to his varied musical influences.

march sees the formidable hypercolour deliver its most surprising output yet, an ep from none other than groove armada. tom findlay and andy cato need little introduction as groove armada. chart smashes, huge live tours and being part of the worldwide electronic music history aside, the duo have never lost touch with their acid house roots and have continued to be devoted to record buying, djing and the much maligned promo trawl. tom and andy have been avid followers of the label it seemed, since its inception. it was through label head jamie, meeting the guys back in 2010 at space in ibiza, and then continued communication via hypercolour promos, that led to an out-of-the-blue email requesting an informal hook up in east london and, within just a few days, a release was scheduled. that release is the >no knock ep<, four tracks that range from 808 fuelled old school cuts to low slung, moog-bassd electronic funk. each sound is lovingly crafted but there is an analog rawness throughout and every track has the sort of tweaked, off-kilter and occasionally awkward vibe that hypercolour do so well. it just takes a bit of imagination to guess what a ga release on hypercolour should sound but failing that, just check the release out as it wont disappoint.

after i heard enol s beautiful track white mango on initial cut, i felt the need to reach out. i had a long and friendly conversation with matthieu (enola) about our musical background and agreed on the fact that we both have a weakness for pop music and early detroit techno, and quickly came to the conclusion that something with a little pop would be perfect for the label. enola came to us with >slow motion< featuring the vocals of will caulfield. its something different for enola, and something different for us, deep techno pop, perfect for 5am! enola is the new project of french dj matthieu monnin, who used to be part of the techno outfit noirdegout. matthieu now works on his own, finding his niche in melodious techno, taking inspiration from the sounds of the nineties. he has done work with the likes of rodriguez jr, anoraak, and arno gonzalez, and now he joins correspondant with >slow motion<. on the flip side, nhar, the other half of correspondant turns the darkness into light with for me, his best remix to date. if the original is for 5am, nhars remix is for 5pm, when the sun still shines and its warmth still remains.

what it happened again? but we still dont know! all we know is that once in a while every successful couple - and even passionate lovers - needs a break from each other. so this time, you get david woods on the green alone. no tiger around. just another man and his caddy. nevertheless, he has the >license to drill<, a >slazenger 1< in his pocket and >1:00:00< to kill. track after track after track by a true crack. funky peak time!
