after 2016’s mini-album shady and light, composer and guitarist martyn heyne releases his first full-length record electric intervals on the new 7k! imprint. says heyne: the number of parameters that determine a recording appears to be infinite. the mood, instrument, tuning, mics, room, temperature, time of day, all contribute to sound. the magic, once captured, is impossible to recreate. this might seem a hindrance, but it’s really the whole point of recording for me.’ opener ‘carry’, for example, is a composition carefully developed over months with most of the production happening in front of the microphone. ‘wilde wide’, however, was recorded only once as an early-morning improvisation. having worked with dustin o’halloran on the emmy-winning transparent soundtrack and with clarinettist claudio puntin as part of the duo set aglow, heyne’s sound is one of simplified diversity. on his debut album he controls each melody with the precision of a veteran producer.

diese doppel-lp aus dem hause bbe ist in erster linie für djs und beataffine produzenten gedacht. doch auch freunde eigentümlich-spezieller und wundervoll-mysteriöser sounds dürften ihre freude an dem vinyl haben. der sampler wurde von den beiden versierten kompilationsspezialisten mr thing und chris read zusammengestellt. er enthält eine außergewöhnliche sammlung von 23 library-stücken, die aus dem gigantischen archiv von cavendish music stammen. das 1937 als boosey & hawkes recorded music library gegründete unternehmen ist marktführer für produktionsmusik in großbritannien und weltweit mit dependenzen vertreten. mr thing und chris read erhielten erstmals 2014 im rahmen eines sampleprojekts zugang zum cavendish-archiv. bei ihren grabungen entdeckten die beiden eine sammlung mit aufnahmen aus den 1970er-jahren, die bis heute nichts von ihrer frische und originalität verloren haben. die schönsten perlen daraus finden sich auf -the library archive- wieder. sie reichen von tagträumerischen scores im stile lalo schifrins bis zu atmosphärischen proto-hip-hop-instrumentals.

remastered edition, contains a printed inner sleeve and 4-page 12inch booklet with liner notes and photos. tip! after a classic artistic journey and an experimental stint with aktuala and other brilliant fellow musicians (like franco battiato, above all), lino capra vaccina, near the end of the 70s, recorded antico adagio. it was an amazing album, anticipating countless future experiments in the field of new age and world music but also in avantgarde and electronic music. apart from a few violin parts and the extraordinary vocal lines (sung by vaccina himself and juri camisasca), antico adagio is an album fully built on percussions. but, at the same time, it s the farthest thing from the typical idea of percussions. you won t find a single trace of african or primitive beats: instead, this is a collection of rather long, subtle and thoughtful compositions, crafted with vibraphones, marimbas and gong. together they create a work which will remain unique both in capra vaccina s discography as well as in a more general sense.

nice price deal !!! following our quest for inventive approaches within the sometimes tired and highly commodified house / tech house / techno / minimal or whatever you call it scene, we ve gone this time for landesvatter. regardless of having already signed a few full lenght lps on the highly esteemed normoton as well as on under_line and others, joachim landesvatter prefers to keep a low-key atittude. he offers us two great tracks, each one followed by a very special remix. the original of nome is a highly bouncy digitech house track for the dancefloor, with an infectious sinewave to keep you hooked from beggining to end. the remix of nome, in charge of arp aubert (marco niemerski aka tensnake & stephan lorenz) who run the great mirau musik, comes on the form of a hysterical dub house track that literally puts >the roof in the air<. we recommended for full effect to keep the volume on the red. as usual, the second half of the release follows at a quieter pace. hausse is a track on a out to lunch tradition, greatly influenced by detroit but at the same time distancing itself from the current plethora of nostalgics. in-house duo taron-trekka closes the package with a deep remix, rich on freaky jazz touches. we lack words to describe it.

kanja records is sincerely honored to present its sixth vinyl release, based on a concept called sunday mornings. with this series of releases we will focus on that warm up, early morning, after party gems and slowly fading away from peak time music. our philosophy behind this concept is that the focus goes to the tracks being timeless, and music that you can listen to in every time of day and night. music that offers a vast variety, but in the end coming together in that sweet and warm morning glory. bidon by university of nowhere was definitely our first pick for the first track on this release. nice warm pads and steady broken beats are becoming a trademark for their production. astral control by maurice giovannini perfectly sits beside our opening track with its laid back mood and again nice moody pads. insen gathway by widovski, an opening track on our b side, with nice minimalistic grooves, warm pads and freaky background ticks, surely deserves a spot on this release. defenders of prisma by gabriele carasco and enzo pietropaolo is the final track on this vinyl release. a really special track, which has a very mysterious and sentimental vibe and nicely rounds up our sixth release.

wind river ist ein neuer spielfilm von taylor sheridan mit elizabeth olsen und jeremy renner in den hauptrollen. taylor sheridan hat zuvor das drehbuch zu dem film scicario von denis villeneuve verfasst. von ihm stammt auch der film hell or high water, bei dem er schon einmal mit nick cave & warren ellis zusammengearbeitet hat. nick cave und warren ellis interpretieren die natur-elemente (das rauschen des windes, die stille einer schneelandschaft) des filmes nach ihrem eigenen bekunden auf eine ganz eigene weise. für diese elementaren erfahrungen haben wir einen geisterhaften soundtrack produziert bei dem stimmen wispern, chöre aus dem nichts auftauchen und wieder verschwinden und der zumeist elektronisch produzierte sound zu pulsieren scheint, so warren ellis.

asuntos internos is an ep dedicated to artists from spain, in this case 3 from barcelona (nlk, delusions & niet! and nehuen) and 1 from madrid (vvv). the first two songs, -overview- and -100 freeze-, have a obscure tones, and darkwave intensity. in -exorcism- delirious voices are planned on a magnetic basis while relatively ethereal, while -i do not know what i want- (jump it now mix) finally jumps into the dance floor with a purely techno ebm cut. asuntos internos es un ep dedicado a artistas del pais, en este caso 3 de barcelona (nlk, delusions & niet ! y nehuen) y 1 de madrid (vvv). las dos primeras canciones, -overview- y -100 freeze-, tienen un tono más post-punk: la primera recuerda a the cure y la segunda añade intensidad industrial. en -exorcismo- unas voces delirantes planean sobre una base magnética a la vez que relativamente etérea, mientras que -i don t know what i want (want it now mix)- salta finalmente a la pista de baile con un corte puramente techno ebm.

hanna is the soundtrack album to the 2011 british-german thriller film of the same name, directed by joe wright. the film stars saoirse ronan as the title character, a girl raised in the wilderness of northern finland by her father, an ex-cia operative (eric bana), who trains her as an assassin. cate blanchett is a senior cia agent who tries to track down and eliminate the girl and her father.
the original score was composed by the british pioneers of big beat the chemical brothers, who had 6 number 1 albums and 13 top 20 singles in the uk. nme ranked the album at number 54 in their list of the -61 of the greatest film soundtracks-.
the soundtrack of hanna was nominated for multiple awards and eventually won an alliance of women film journalists award in the category -best film music or score- and a los angeles film critics association award for -best music-.
