edition 282 marks the long awaited debut of manuel anós aka psyk on the expansive and honorable tresor records catalog.
the madrid-based producer had previously released a single track jackin under the alias maan back in 2012 on dj deep s kern vol. 01 compilation.
psyk takes the stage with a four-track solo ep �works�. on both side�s first positions � with �definition� and �balance� � psyk delivers electrifying tracks teetering on the boundaries of hypnosis.
on the inner-rims, psyk slows down the pace with �stigma� and �lowdown�, introducing some industrial tones to his techno equation.

following the release of the �extraction� and �hydraulic pressure� 12�s earlier this year, adventice � the incendiary collaboration between dj deep and roman poncet, returns to tresor. while taking the groove up quite a few notches, and as per its two predecessors, �exsurgence� unfolds in three different versions around a common theme.
the �main mix� opens into hammering chords yet taking a delicate turn into an synth-heavy refrain. on the flip, the �reduced mix� follows the same composition while playful and cinematic as the use of hihats add a skip to your step and pick up the pace. the �percussive mix� and its rapid drum patterns, exude a fragrance of vocals triggering endless soundscapes.

after last years dystopic debut, super strength ep, rising parisian cedric bros aka marcelus returns to tresor with something a little more deep and shiny in emerald. once again marcelus conjures up the spirits of detroit and berlin techno, moulding them here into dreamy modern house incantations-an inspired blurring of the lines the well-versed frenchman has been rehearsing over the last decade.

after spending five years stealthy developing the project through a series of bi-annual and hand-stamped set of releases, eked via his eponymous imprint, in 2011 sleeparchive joined tresor with ronan point - an ep of tracks constructed directly from material from semsroths live set. now comes more fresh works from the master of haunting, compelling minimalism in this first instalment of a two-part ep for the label.

puresque is paul brtschitsch and mocca�paul whose discography stretches back to the mid-90s and is widely regarded for his sensitive sound arrangements both on record and live, and mocca�real name michael kunz- who has been simmering his sonic pallet on the berlin circuit over the last few years. they met over a mutual love of vinyl and entered the studio together with the desire to create something raw, as removed as possible from the synthetic feel of purely digital production.

in 2010, when we started to revitalise the tresor label, we reached out to some of the greatest artists, not just in tresors history, but in techno. late 2010 we sat down in a paris cafe, just off the pompidou centre, with jeff mills, on a rainy, otherwise unremarkable and miserable day. but on this day we were given two very strong pieces of advice. >hire a fanastic a&r and sign sleeparchive<. so here we are, an artist that has been on the underground radar of the hacker, miss kittin and richie hawtin makes his debut on tresor records with >ronan point<. >the tracks developed from parts and loops i had created for my live set and always wanted to make tracks from. after a little break i took with the sleeparchive project the record for tresor was a great opportunity to make these tracks.< sleeparchives live sets have graced the dance floors and sound systems of berghain, arena club and bloc weekend, so it is fair to say that the 4 tracks that make up ?ronan point are not just tried and tested, but actually born on the dance floor. >> press: dj magazine techno single of the month.
