disco fruit s sublabel continues to turn out smooth and slick deep, funky house, and this time around tonbe is on hand with the goods to get the people grooving. broken heart features rachel on vocals and some sweet saxophone, hitting the spot just right for universally appealing house music. street groove is a more forthright, clubby affair where the drums take the lead and the keys lock into a loopy late night roll. feel so good features some more choice vocal turns with urgent melodic hooks, and then something jazzy swoops in at the end with some proper new jersey heat to get your body popping.

hell yeah is back with more beach ready and boat party styled summer tunes, this time from riccio. this italian producer has long been making essential edits, off kilter grooves and soul kissed house sounds that demand to be played loud and these new ones are no different. described by the label boss as balearic big beat, this ep kicks off with afro chemy, a scorching seven minute tune that builds on a bed of fat drums. the scattered percussion is loose and organic and when the funky bass and colourful xylophone sounds comes in you can t help but cut loose. add in a sexy trumpet line and you have the sound of summer distilled into seven sensational minutes. funky cave will get any party started with its old school drum breaks and cymbal splashes sounding like the ocean when you plunge in on a hot day. busted bass lines add a certain fatness and cosmic keys and steamy guitar licks make this another perfect outdoor anthem. last of all is the blissed out heather, one to drop at sundown after a long day s dancing. the beats are warm and lumpy, the synths smear out to the horizon like gently breaking waves and soulful leads really get your heart swelling. proper.

having first linked up with london-based coyote records in early 2015, grade 10’s forever returns to the label proper for his first full ep project, hymn which explores the myriad sounds, layers and textures that have come to define his music.
the delicate, slow-burning cinema of widescreen opener gweilo, the shadowy eeriness of hymn and the crunchy, industrial club heat of swamped each point to different reference points, but all feel interlinked by forever’s grip on atmosphere and tone.
coyote label mate, chemist - also one third of planet mu trio, silk road assassins - also turns in a booming edit of hymn, complete with re-booted, icy melodies that fire off like shards of glass, and rude, 808 patterns that nod to his work with sra.

alex cortex delivering the heat!! mr cortex is kicking hard with a direct and mental techno tracks! oscillon, a1, is a bleepy affair, direct and repetitive, but please, play it loud and watch. rheometric is in the same alley as oscillon but bringing the bleeps and glitches trip even more in your face. combined with the fat but quirky bassline, it does the peak time techno thing extremely well. b1 s title -shear wave- does the track justice. backed by a fat downtempo beat, the distorted 303-reminiscent synth line cuts through the mix in a way that s impossible to ignore. strain rate tensor rounds up the previous three cuts, also in a very dancefloor-friendly manner. bubbly main lead and anxiety-inducing pad sneaking in the background seem to be the main thing, until another synth hits you as a counterpoint and flips everything upside down. proper no-nonsens stuff!!

after a series of mesmerising (and massive) eps under his more disco orientated yse saint laur ant moniker pressed for time label head ant plate is back in his deep house mode with an ep of yse goodness no messing about with the opener this loves the same yse goes straight in there with some dancefloor heat that has enough quirk to counteract the house swing. 9828 is all badboy garridge wonk with some excellent detuned chords and a catchy, nagging vocal refrain - swag. on the flip, i gave you my is proper deep house (as in it s actually deep) with some trademark yse chords, blissed out vocal samples and great drum programming. night prescription rounds things off with a homage to the classic us house sound. think chuggles i remember dance but with an east midlands twist.

after the successful zenker brothers record, we continue with a solo record by dario zenker. it sounds like dario bought some healthy food, went to mcdonalds and i ate it there to provoke some marketing campaign against intensive livestock farming. we know for a fact that he has an unlimited love for good food, dirty old school hip hop, porn, broken beats and kung fu by the way. his flat on the 5th floor gets a lot of light during the summer and also heats up a lot. can you smellthe sweat? speaking of sweat, you should check out inner circles sweat. instead of a proper high 5, we would even give 6 for this one! oh what a bad way of trying to make some sense with the track title... but honestly give 6 is a hard one. well i guess its time to stop writing some weird shit and start listening...

(cue the overdrive and the interstellar vocal.) slovenian-based, us singer, hannah mancini, provides those cosmic vocals, ably recorded by sare havlicek in sunny ljubljan. after a sly re-titling of the track (to avoid confusion with the original the name has been extended to >on a highway to saturn<) its on to the obligatory over-the-top nang remix package...first up is a new version from d-pulse for those long summer nights. their >australian shore reversion< mix slows down the groove to a balmy evening by noosa shores pace. space-rock, guitar solos, smouldering synths and lazy rhythms all combine to make this one for the beach house. sare havlicek adds a couple of mixes of his own. keeping things hi-energy he goes for the disco jugular with his trademark stabby synths and tight production. nang newcomers, proper heat, strip things back and go for a slow-grooving baltic-disco chugger. rounding off the remix package is japanese based jan ken po (aka max essa). he delivers a dance floor friendly version with a big and bold walking bass riff and tasteful synths
