crossing classic alleys with the eintakt 28 – another various artists compilation offering a warm summerblend of well grown techno/ house/ dub plants and vegetables. starting off with >>achim maerz<< and a harmonic drifter with just that tiny acid touch it needs here. then mr. >>dub taylor<< takes over with a wooden dancefloor spoon cooking up a decent mixture for the massive floor.on the b-side >>idealist<< reduces it to the max with the well known hits and drum bits and so fulfils his past future classic promise once more.fading out with >>pawas<< and his slight jazzy cold dubb (which is not so cold at all) and being aware it’s another proper piece in the eintakt puzzle
a freshly minted london label, clueplants mission is to push twisted, imaginative techno with a raw analogue energy and a futuristic approach to sound design.the first release showcases a balance of two distinctly individual and intoxicating tunes which have seen enthusiastic reception on the dancefloor and radio while doing the rounds as dubplates. the a side hosts a powerful chunk of modern techno energetically played live and is the first release from london producer 12&bit, a perverse hardware purist whose vinyl and live sets have thumped out at teknivals aross europe and seen over 2 million downloads of his played-live techno through the open-source audio globular music library. on the b side the perversity is taken a step further by the infamous bulgarian electro deviant, manasyt. following 11 years of quality vinyl output on prolific labels such as kommando 6, touchin bass and bunker, the balaclava-clad nomad manasyt has set up his studio in the techno capitals of the world, berlin, london and detroit, and is now in china pumping out his trademark brutal and forward-thinking industrial techno for clueplant
a chance meeting of minds and talents, this surprising new ep comes from a seasoned producer who kicked off the spc series with his stunning 3 part series, alongside a promising new talent whose name is spreading fast in the techno world. jeroen search & markus suckut are the craftsmen in question and this is their first creative output ?working together. >jsms 1.0< introduces us into their world. tough, straight beats pump under a discordant bed of synth tones that build in crescendo that emerges and then carefully dies down. the occasional crack of a lone clap or teasing washes of tape delay add to the tension, as this paranoid moment takes control. a classically warm and minimalist affair, >jsms 4.3< plants a super deep synth theme in our heads before introducing quite a mysterious spoken word, locking us into the vibe without doubt. crisp hats cut through the mix as a perfect tool is born. dub techno excursion >jsms 2.0< is a rough and raw stab track done their way.
wow... keith worthy is coming with some deep juicy detroit tracks! slower paced as we ve heard from him, but drenched in this intense sound that only american pressing plants seems to generate. beautiful strings are layered on the metalic basslines and tight machine percussion. both rockit science and now thats house are equaly well executed house tracks that are essential for every serious house and techno lover!
nice price deal !!! exciting times at wagon repair as london duo dollz at play release their debut ep after 5 years of taming dancefloors throughout europe and the world. london transplants xochitl and bea, originally from mexico and spain respectively, have been tipped for great things. oscura wand in paris is a mid pace bass driven minimal electro strut, equally suited for the miami sun or berlin dawn. sleek and deep, spoken words punctuate a tight percussive ascension into a synth hook that ties together a broad mix of resonant tone and psychotropic modulated vocals.
last summers surprise hit from scandal inc. thats a good look gets a hot new rework from thugfucker. originally appearing on coco machete this remix sees the light via coma, the darker more ill-mannered side of coco machete. these mixes take the original b-girl vocals and drop them in over a deep, dark late night groove ready for the big rooms. a thick chicago vamp, 80s drum fills and super sonic synth lines take both mixes straight back to the warehouse. thugfucker, none other than greg oreck and holmar fillipson are two transplants we were lucky to track down to get on this rub. holmar also being one third of new school super-group mr negative knows how to get things dirty for when youre jackin on the corner!
