blasting off the a-side is >gravity<, a high-tempo number picking up linear momentum verse after verse, featuring serious vocals by g-tech. on the flip, cari goldens soulful vocals chime in and out of the expressional >no one knows<. safeword, a magnetic duo comprised of clint stewart and marc smith from san francisco, remix >gravity< through heaven and hell as >sunset< delivers a calm and spiritual opening piece slowly easing the listener into >tenderloin<, a dark, grave track with subdued vocals and feeble beats.
mania theme is a mid tempo acid chugger build for big systems and discerning dancefloors. the andrew weatherall remix adds a live bass and synth arpeggios to produce a real trademark weatherall bomb. elsewhere, toby tobias remix turns the brooding acid chugger into a sublime balearic deep house groove reminiscent of the italian house heyday and creates the same warm vibes as don carlos or last rhythm with a touch of acid for good measure. the second track from hardway bros is a reconstruction of the hardkiss track pacific coastal highway. a straight up acid groove.

amon tobin continued his adventures with the breakbeat on out from out where, his fourth album. darker, more complex, even more rhythmically driving and intense than ever before, this huge record cemented tobins reputation as one of the most innovative and important names in dance music today.
saobi records is back with a new ep, containing three excellent tracks on another classic deep house release, mixing together different forms and styles of music, trying to not have a precise musical genre but experimenting always new sounds!
obsession is really the programmatic title of tobias olivers work of the last years. two years after his digital winter / summer release in 2009 and the human technology debut with his electro band datawelt, it is really a obsession of him, to bring out his first solo release on vinyl. if you listen to this record, you will be sure, that tobias oliver was born in a electro disco somewhere in this world. the analogy to the old school electro sound can not be ignored, when he reuses the drum and percussion sounds of well known drum machines of the past, combined with bass and synthlines, pads and strings of analog synthesizers from the past and the future - at the latest by then - you will think, that you are really out of space!
after the >decade ep<, which featured four original tracks from london/berlin duo jack dixon & robin card, comes a diverse package of remixes, courtesy of brownswood recordings eliphino, label mainstay (and >new jack swing< producer) james fox, and newcomers colo.

having released his booty ep on mobilee earlier this year, ray okpara has quickly become a very popular member of the mobilee extended team. with releases in the past on labels such as oslo, get physical and especially on his own label ama recordings, he is well renowned for his signature style house groove and soulful flavour, and hes bringing his sound back to mobilee once more with his brand new ep blues me blues. coming as both an original and instrumental, blues me blues,is atmospheric and hypnotic, sprinkled with a beautiful vocal. meanwhile bounce to this will wake the dance floor out of any kind of hypnosis with its punching bass line and hip house vocal. lastly hideout is the deeper and calmer compliment, balancing out the whole ep and providing a satisfying amount of variety. enjoy!
somewhere over western europe, an un-identified falling object crashed landed causing a massive bang, and a ginormous banana shaped smoke cloud. frederic, a local artistic young chap was so inspired by this hilariously funny giant cloud that covered the whole sky as far as he could see, he ran indoors to take cover, and wrote a little summer step d&b beat, called >laughing at clouds< – which seemed to draw a lot of attention. out of the studio window, frederic could see what seemed to be a pink giraffe giving it some serious head-nodding action. by the second drop leonard (the pink giraffe) was dancing so heavily that he caused a small tremor somewhere over in the states, where young up & coming producer melo seemed to pick up the transmission. while in his sonic laboratory he managed to transfer his latest project (affirmation) through the current, where frederic decided to make his first remix project, which pretty much made leonard pass out after all the summer stepping….
marcin czubala has been a busy man of late but the paper work certainly hasnt stopped the creativity flowing. whilst setting up his own imprint >your mamas friend<, for which he produced the first release, he is now back with a very strong ep for mobilee records >just away<. as someone who is always moving forward and looking to expand in new ways, czubala applies the same philosophy to his music production and this release presents a very fresh look on modern house music. >just away< features four tracks, each of which are expertly produced and have their own moment in the night, with much more bass, rawness and energy than his previous releases. whilst the title track warms the floor with drawn out synths and a expectant bassline, >memory lane< is an obvious peak time killer. meanwhile on the flip, >not like this< and >pleasure control< carry a calmer deep house vibe, but still enough of a kick to keep the floor moving. enjoy!
one of the most promising artists that has come out of amsterdam over the years, david labeij, has recently had more time to focus on his solo career now that polder, his live act with lauhaus, is an established and high quality techno outfit, with an album on shinedoes intacto imprint and many singles to their and his name. where the infamous polder groove is aimed at blowing up dancefloors, labeijs solo tracks are more on the hypnotic side of techno and house, as each track on this release demonstrates, as well as plenty of bouncing and playful basslines. labeijs sets - live and dj - are notorious for their mesmerizing qualities, and he is rapidly gaining international grounds with his distinct and captivating take on dance music, so we hope you enjoy this release

we are super-proud to announce that the tenth single on electronic imprint more music is the latest from the brilliant musical mind of toby tobias. we are also delighted that this release is coming out on vinyl for only the third time in the labels history, following in the illustrious footsteps of timo maas and midland before it.
having once said that daily life as well as adventurous trips across the globe were the source of her inspiration when making music, its obvious which recent event in the world of anja schneider formed the basis of her new ep on mobilee records. whilst she takes a well earned pause and enjoys a very new lease of life, >hello boy!< will hit the stores in october. for this release, she joined lee jones in the studio to make something with a twist. with a strong anja schneider flavour, title track >hello boy!< cleaverly transposes a real sense of excitement and waiting on to the dance floor, with soft mysterious chords and a steady build that works itself into a drop. >rio bravo< offers a relief with more of an airy head-spinning feel and >let me out< … well, its done now ,)
mannequin releases on 45 rotations-per-minute seven inch single a nearly forgotten collaboration dredged and now seeing the light of day.
played entirely live in one ago and using only vintage analogue synthesizers and sequencers, martial canterel and tobias bernstrup four-hands / two voices put our minds in another dimension, in an hypotetical night-time outside, where shadows and confusion are leading the way, creating simply a milestone for all the minimal electronics music lovers.
komisch welcomes a new act for its ninth release. tricaustic is a collaboration between longstanding dublin techno djs sunil sharpe and jon hussey, and they bring their experience to bear on these raw and distinctive techno tracks
stepping into their fifth release label owner phobia presents his first solo 12 inch for coded. >polaroid< is a moody roller as you might expect from the label boss, featuring the vocal talents of zoe hakin. on the flip >severance< is a lesson in intricate drums and bass, definitely one for the headz. bothtracks should be an essential part of any decent djs arsenal. both tracks have received support from the likes of spectrasoul, jubei, lenzman, nymfo, loxy and more.
as an artist with already a lot of very successful material to his name, rodriguez jr.s debut album >bittersweet< is a highly anticipated release. there are in fact many reasons why people should hold their breath for it - an impressive 11 track body of work that features some of the well renowned and loved rodriguez jr. sonic traits, as well as a lot of new and previously unchartered musical ground. mobilee084 presents four of the tracks from the album on vinyl for all the collectors out there. title track >bittersweet<, >music dont lie feat. cari golden<, >massilia< and >bagpipe woman< demonstrate the breadth of musical styles that oliver mateau works with in this oeuvre, which is an honest reflection of the artist he has become today. it simultaneously presents techno, atmospheric dub, hypnotic, melancholy and hands down hedonistic music, and with a focus on exploring textures and moods, there is something here for everyone to get lost in. enjoy this teaser release, more coming soon!
after the success of the recipe book album, ingredients return to their next 12 inch single from long stalwart sato. >glide< is reminiscent of late 90s matrix, with its bulging bass line and 2 step drums. flip for a remix of satos biggest tune so far >detroit lies bleeding< by phobia. taking the original and flipping it on its head, this monstrous roller has been cained for months by andy c and will feature in many sets upon its release. perfect dj friendly material and a return to business for ingredients.
julia porter, best known as miss jools, is the native londoner who cut her teeth and carved her niche in the uk capital, before making mobilee her musical home. her previous collaborative production outfit with audiofly sleeper thief brought her to wider attention in 2006 and then in 2008 she struck out on her own, undertaking solo work and discovering a penchant for slinky, late-night dancefloor sounds with releases such as >la luna< and >que me levante<, proving herself a diverse talent both in the dj booth and in the studio. after a short break, her new release on mobilee >walk away< brings her special musical flavour back to the floor. title track >walk away< it as much minimal and trippy, as it is dreamy and melodic. the same can be said for >whats going on< but this time a powerful vocal is layered over the freaky back drop. meanwhile on the b side >feel you< will keep you spinning. youll definitely find yourself dancing to one of these tracks in the early hours of the morning soon, if you are not playing them yourself…..enjoy!

moody melodic synth patterns, stripped back electronic percussion and haunting hypnotic vocals. may i present the latest masterpiece from reuben tobias: portraits ep. a finely balanced deep underground pop release that will no doubt hold the attention of such names as troxler and jamie jones. the structure, complex enough to hold interest but simple enough to maintain elegance, takes you on a journey through the mind of reuben tobias as you listen attentively to every word of the self expressive lyrics. the b side lead, marran, shares very much the similar characteristics as portraits. minus the lyrics, marran uses subtly layered electronic synths and the comforting sound of young children playing outside to suck you down into a place of complete concentration. your focus becomes stuck in fascination for the sounds guiding you through the duration of the track right to the last second. a brilliant ep. not one for the clubs but certainly one for the collection.
morning caffeine is the debut release by poker flats martin landsky on mobilee that we have all been waiting for! as a poker flat artist with huge success to his name for various remixes, he boasts a discography that reads like a guide through electronic musics hottest sounds. always refusing to be pigeonhold, landsky continuously embraces different paths and once again hes brought something new to the table. title track morning caffeine (main mix) kick starts the ep with both a dark and uplifting mood as a slightly twisted loop continues to build throughout the track, never really culminating but carrying on inescapably, whilst in contrast the organ dub version offers a much lighter and bouncier atmosphere. aint nobodys is the pleasant surprise of the ep, once again demonstrating landkys musical diversity and serving up really special warm dreamy vibes

>dysfunction<, hannulelauris first ep on i m a cliche goes beyond the dreamy, cosmic atmosphere of their previous releases and remixes on other eurodisco labels. the duos new sound still sends us floating but with an edgier, more toxic ride. hannu and lauri aka hannulelauri created a track for i m a cliche, a remix of botoxs hit >blue steel<. this track inspired the label to make more room for the finnish duo and bring their new music into its discography.
these two have been active figures in helsinkis club scene for quite a while, producing music together since 2006. when they crossed the borders of finland, the name of the band was pretty hard to retain but it didnt take long for all the bigwigs of modern disco to memorize it. two originals and a selection of remixes: >dysfunction< steps into the territory of deep melodic house with a classic resonance >box of box< throws around some fun rough beats toby tobias remix of dysfunction is iced with elegance and soulfulness. populettes remix of >box of box< is the new best friend of house dancers.
