this past summer pan-pot made a mark with their first release on mobilee in quite some time entitled >confronted<. for the confronted remixes we invited on board a couple of our favorite artists for their take on pan-pot. adam beyer and jesper dahlbäcks remix presents us with a harder version of the original that is even more driving, industrial and gargantuan that its predecessor. blurps of noise and static, air-clearing thunderclaps and extensive distortion make the epic nature of the original even more colossal. here the vocals of the original take the backseat and, when they do appear, they do so in a fragmented and distorted form. with intense atmospherics that demand your attention, beyer and dahlbäcks remix focuses exclusively on the darkest components of the original. martin landskys remix starts off at an easier pace than its a-side, exploring the softer side of >confronted<. whereas the a-side puts the original in overdrive, the b-side focusing on subtle changes while toning down the noise and static. the edge and rawness of the original is still maintained, but in a more melodic form that continually laces the backdrop.
playmobil is celebrating its tenth release with the mastermind from greece mister mihalis safras. with all the work he does for his incredible material labels he still found the time to produce these magnificent tracks for playmobil! 3 great tracks that have been tested over and over on his many trips abroad. you know what to expect..
sebo ks last release on mobilee, diva, was a hit, and one of mobilees most popular tracks in 2008. since then hes primarily stayed under the radar, popping up only momentarily to release a track on cecille in july of 2009. with his new release spirits, sebo returns not only to mobilee but also to the sonic tropes that propelled him to success in the first place. undulating melodics that stretch like rubber bands, a funky bass line, and a jacking house beat: within the first few seconds of hearing spirits one immediately recognizes the slew of sounds with which sebo k made his name. the track takes its time to build as well, riding the groove for a bit before bringing a singular, high pitched note into the picture. as it continually gains momentum and rises in intensity, the captivating sounds of a piano arrive, adding yet another layer of familiar and hypnotic melody. all the tracks components merge seamlessly, with percussive accents here and there until staccato strings make a dramatic entrance, fluttering and dialogue with the rest of the tracks components. by the end of the track, the piano has gotten back in the drivers seat, steering the track along it s course. the drum version builds off the vintage house sounds of the a-side but substitutes extensive percussion from max moya for the strings and piano
nachtstrom schallplatten is back with a brand-new ep produced by munichs tobias felbermayr. the vinyl will contain 3 superb techno-smashers in the best tradition of extrawelt, johannes heil and gregor tresher.
tobis career started in the year 2005 under the pseudonym joey approx. at that time he was already playing in well-known clubs such as rote sonne and harry klein - both located in the beautiful capital of bavaria munich.in 2008, he could convince his good friend johannes heil to make him part of his label metatron recordings. his first release immediately was a huge success and entered the top-50 of the techno-charts in europe and in japan even went into the top-10. after playing together with artists such as johannes heil, spektre, acid maria, piatto, tim green, daniel schlender and many more, he is still on his search for that special sound and one thing is for sure: he s gonna find it!
we are proud to welcome tobi as part of our nachtstrom family and to release his first ep on our label.

this new collaboration between two of cadenzas finest talents makes its official debut on mobilee with black shoes, a cut that pops, crackles, and snaps like youd never believe. dance floor ready yet unwilling to sacrifice an explicit focus on the details, black shoes pulsates with bass while suggesting a kind of lightness as whispered and fragmented voices hiss and murmur in the background. the melodics, which give off the feel of being in constant flux, provide a nice contrast to the intensely regularized bass drum while simultaneously meshing with the popping percussion that guide the track along its course. breakdowns filled with the sounds of static and 8-bit provide a nice experimental touch to this track that works equally well as a late-night romp as it does on the headphones. b-side speech also gives off a stuttered feel but is even more blippy and fragmented than its counterpart while migrating towards a more jacking vibe. brito and toro compliment this fractured sound with extensive use of vocal samples—both spoken and sung—that, while incomprehensible, lock in seamlessly with the overall feel of the track. melody here references both vintage sounds and traditional minimalism with the end result being a fusion of the two that is truly extraordinary.
after the great success of >fine mouche piano-tango< (check feedback below) by french chanson legend brigitte fontaine and turkish belly dancer khan we are proud to present a bunch of hyper hip remix kids ready to send you into a groovy indian summer.

norways rather shy and mysterious youngster tobii faxed in a request for the remix parts and delivered a stunning psychedelic deep-house anthem that will sure be part of your 2009 post-summer-vacation-trauma. let the leaves turn red and the disco ballshine!
p.s. we forgot to mention the very talented and handsome pianist boris bergmann, featured on all piano-tango versions.

do you know gummihz? the gummihz that hails from greece but was raised on a steady diet of chicago and new york house? the gummihz that sings? the gummihz that incorporates disco, electro, jazz, and chanson into his productions? well if you don t, now you will. the >sleepless nights< double 12 inch is gummihz first release on mobilee since >under the sun< and is a radical departure from anything we ve ever heard from gummihz ù or even mobilee ù before. gummihz multidimensional production abilities allow him to dig deep into his roots and influences on the one hand while simultaneously exploring new, uncharted territory on the other. alternatingly retro and futuristic, this two-part ep series is a portrait of gummihz as an artist from a variety of angles, one we ve only seen fragments of up until now. one might view this ep as an attempt on gummihz behalf to explore his musical roots in a contemporary context, with the end result being a strikingly varied yet cohesive statement of gummihz musical and artistic leanings. on the one hand, gummihz delves into his past, with tracks such as >sunshine dub< and >bang< fusing the samples, cut-offs, and filtered loops of french house with an almost balearic, hypnotic twist. on the flip-side, we also get a snapshot of gummihz at his most somber ù>love call<, featuring vocals from gummihz himself, has a jackin house beat but bears no resemblance to the cheery sounds of chicago house on which our grecian friend was raised. instead, he favors a cloudy, almost cold-blooded vibe, with chilling lyrics manipulated to the point of near-indecipherability (bringing to mind the brilliant vocal work of the knife and fever ray) with a final product that is nonetheless aptly suited for the dance floor.

a little less than two and a half years after its conception—and close to 30 singles, one compilation, one mix cd and one sublabel later—berlins mobilee releases its first artist album. naturally, who better to represent the milestone than pan-pot, who so far have delivered five essential singles to mobilee, helping to anchor the ever-shifting sound of one of europes most exciting labels. in just two short years, with 10 singles (for mobilee and einmaleins musik) and lots of remixes, theyve become known far and wide for their distinctive, groovy, and above all ominous sound. pan-o-rama finds the boys stretching that sound in every possible direction: twisting, tearing, and using the shreds to drag a wide swath of techno history into the future (and, just maybe, to drag a few pieces of techno future back into the past). call it minimal if you must, but this aint no clickity-clack shit. you can hear the agonized gurgle of isolationist acid, reminiscent of plastikmans darkest nights. you can hear the percolating urgency of classic bleep techno. tried and true hardware collides with restless digital experimentation as dance musics dna worms its way into twisted new shapes. pan-o-rama is dark, thats for damned sure. eerie vocals that seem to come from within the listeners own head creep across the stereo field. throughout, restrained minor-key melodies conjure 21st century noir, and a relentless low-end rumble seems to suck up all the light around it
dj support: endymion, dj d, giangy (ex stunned guys), manu le malin, broken rules, peaky pounder, the outside agency and many many more

fantastic late summer release by galaxy toobin gang, includes remixes by lee douglas, the prince of new york disco and dj overdose (of novamen and getitboyz), the dark night of the hague electro. none of the meandering ponder-o-rama of their debut album, but straight up bootywhomping dancefloor chaos this time
after hitting his stride in 2008 with his debut for mobilee one is not enough followed by his second release, sand on the floor, the one-man phenomenon is back for a third round for mobilees 55th release entitled first talk, an enthralling tech-house release that is as boundless as it is stunning. the a-side first talk is a bouncing techy track that constantly moves forward and progresses without sounding the least bit rushed, continuously teasing the listener with build-ups that stop just short of peaking. combining vintage synths and reverb-laced loops, and.id meticulously plays with dynamics and atmospherics with the end result being a release that constantly moves forward without sounding the least bit rushed. b1 ephoria maintains a similar level of compelling restraint, with stuttered house beats and melodic undercurrents that morph and shift until they transform into arpeggiated swells leading the track to its endpoint. on b2 lights on and.id displays his darker, more minimal side, taking advantage of lower frequency ranges and recurrent echoes

susu bobien has established herself as one of the signature voices in gospel house music over the last decade. already a widely recognized name in the often cluttered world of house music, susu has vocalled many a championed release across leading labels such as strictly rhythm, slip n slide, azuli, ffrr, nervous, jellybean û and of course nycs own soundmen on wax. this limited ep features 3 lovingly hand-picked (& re-mastered) tracks from the timeless catalogue of susus work on soundmen on wax. each one rightly labeled a classic, and featuring remixes from both sides of the pond, this is certain to become something of a collectors item û make sure you dont miss out
following the success of his last lp, chronicles of never, and his recent track jedwab on nick curlys 8bit imprint, marcin czubala makes his return to mobilee with mezcalinna. continuing his string of exceptional releases bearing his unmistakable signature marksùslinky, undulating grooves full of bizarre twists and turns that ceaselessly continue to surprise the listenerùmezcalinna is comprised of two tracks whose continuities only serve to highlight the ways in which they differentiate themselves from and act as complements to one another. day 1 begins with a heavy bass line echoed by a stuttering percussive beat that guides the rhythm until the vocal chants and kick drum drop. accented by occasional drum fills and cymbal crashes, the track reaches its climax with the entrance of a lone piano chord that, despite its initially alienating presence, ultimately serves as a means of melding and unifying the tracks constituent components. if day 1 is an early morning track, day 2 provides its counterpart as a nighttime dance floor stormer with a darker sound and haunting, reverb-laced vocals. also beginning with a splattering of percussion but taking a decidedly somber turn with dissonant synthesizer stabs and an eerie vocal loop that shadows the track from beginning to end, rhythm and creative use of contorted vocals lead the way as this track zigzags in a way that only marcin czubala can make music do
