after more than 5 years releasing exclusively their own material on their own label and with 12 ep released since nowadays there, nx1 use now the cultivated experience through this years to launch nexe records, a new platform with which they open to release other related artists and collaborations that will rule the label.

nexe means -nexus- in our language. nexe is our link with the music and the scene. nexe gets involved with the techno and its origins, adding our experiences, our vision and evolution. nexe is a union between music, visual and graphic arts. nexe records have two sub-labels: -nx1-, with which we start the project,and -a-nexe- yet to come. nexe is the juntion between those who sympathize our doctrine and help to expand it. nexe is above all, an independent electronic music label.

in the first ep we find the italian re_p opening the record, a rough version from an original melodic track solved with class. the veteran japanese artist go hiyama is following with a playful remix that hooks you from the beginning and shows the new direction of his sound. on the other side we find the industrial guys from serbia, ontal, which deliver an experimental strong heavy track that breaks any conventionalism in a brilliant way. and are delivering the last track of the ep, an old school techno style track at his best as the british duo likes, a peak time track to end perfectly this first record of remixes.

coming off of ep releases on dynamic reflection and 100% pure, uun returns to his label ego death for it’s third release, and it’s first on vinyl. the title track references carl sagan’s classic work of skepticism demon haunted world. it features a percussive attack that builds into a swirling tornado of distorted synths and hihats. the scarlet martyr takes a different approach that is heavy on pads and atmospheric elements all over a bed of field recordings. the b side starts with nx1’s remix of the title track. this interpretation chops up the synth and percussive elements into a broken beat onslaught that builds into the track being deconstructed piece by piece. the final track dominions continues in the broken beat direction with a more straightforward dancefloor approach

2016 repress , informa experiments is a new series from informa records, the aim is to use new methods and ideas to spark creativity and push forward the ever evolving sound of electronic music. irexp001 is a special collaborative project by deepbass, ness, jeroen search and nx1. the idea was to work together on a 4 way collaboration, each artist put a selection of sounds into a folder then from that folder of sounds each artist would create an individual piece of music.
