berlin based pardon moi, consisting of james brook and thomas freudenthal, makes music that would fit perfect as a soundtrack for a ride in a ferrari gto convertible, or on a transatlantic flight on a concorde. unfortunately, vintage ferraris are ridiculously expensive and concords are taken out of flight but still the music creates an air of luxury and decadence for you to fill your lungs and air with. this 7inch release on hoga nord rekords is the first on the label but the duo have released material on nein records and vocoder electro.

incl great remixes by sascha funke and dj koze !! danse avec moi is the first single to be taken from noze s new album, songs on the rocks, the french duo s most surreal and scintillating vision of dance music yet, to be released on get physical music on april 25th. the 12 is equipped with remixes from sascha funke and the inimitable dj koze.>danse avec moi< is a proper love song. it is also noze s first ever song in french, and so with typical perversity, they thought it might be amusing to call upon an american to do the singing - the wonderful dani siciliano, best known for her albums for! k7 and litany of collaborations with matthew herbert. dani duets elegantly with david lafore (who also penned the song s lyrics) over a propulsive, swinging 4x4 drum tattoo, bouncy bassline, rippling harp and lavish string arrangements. as is so often the case with noze, the piano is at the forefront of the arrangement, providing not just straightforward melody and harmony but eminently danceable rhythm. it is an anthem in the making. you should know better than to expect a straightforward remix from kompakt s resident mad scientist, dj koze.
