2019 see s the pair land on strctr, a label with a reputation for delivering that sweet house music and das carma are in good company here with previous artists such as manooz, harrison bdp & liam geddes on the label. even the title of the ep shows the fondness between label & producers : str -> mrs (airport codes stands for stuttgart, germany from where the producers come from and marseille, france where the label is based). delivering a 4 track ep of original productions das carma show that sometimes a &#64258,,,ashy remixer is simply not needed. liftoff cloud 9 opens the ep with a warm &#64258,,,oating dreamlike track, ebbing and weaving beautifully throughout the course of the track. larry & frankie and subnautica keep the subtle refrains of the opener but bring the funk slightly more with bump-in garage drums turning these tracks into feel good lo-&#64257,,, burners. closing out the ep is dub101, here the guys waste no time in making the tracks intentions felt, skippy house drums and a big old slice of call & response from some heavy hitting dub chords - peak time tackle.

over the last 12 months, new mexico-based label plastik people has put out a number of superb eps featuring little known, and hard-to-find house jams. the latest edition in their collections series continues on a similar theme, and opens with the undulating boogie bass, drifting chords and wild organ solos of kerri chandlers 1999 cut * we can* (initially released on black vinyl, fact fans). on the flip you ll find the classic u.s garage/soulful house of andre wade & company s brilliant * bend over* - all woozy chords, chunky beats and rich organ lines - and the new jersey style garage bump of madagascar s overlooked *i never thought (homegrown dub)*.

coming from geneva (switzerland) but napoletano by heart, pascal viscardi is a new face in the deep-house panorama. the 31 years old fellow started his career (as a producer) a few years ago with 2 twelve inches on *the exquisite pain*, including remixes from some heavy weights: mark e, session victim and agnes.
