for fifteen years traveling in the world of electronic music, this dj & producer has established itself as one of the most emblematic of the techno scene. he remarkably incarnates the freshness of those young artists who know how to sum up a decade of electronic culture, adding their own strength, skills and personal touch to it. the energy of his songs is also appreciated by the names of the techno world, from boys noize to laurent garnier. the latter moreover honored him by playing the key title of this ep at the time warp festival: excelsior, which had so already intrigued the internet users through a video extract of the festival. madben as for him encloses this opus with a sober and powerful remix.

since his emergence in 2010, madben s melodic, detroit-inspired techno evolved, with various releases on caduceus, astropolis records, off recordings, inflyte and bedrock. nowadays, the paris-based artist remains a key figure in france s new generation of techno producers, with an upcoming debut lp on astropolis records. swinging from atmospheric sounds to techno, madben produces an alchemy of rave anthems, hardware material and groovy, emotional music. with support from france s favourite laurent garnier, manu le malin and rebekah warrior, fréquence(s) unveils his skillfull, mature universe.

paris-based madben makes his debut on off recordings with three tracks ranging from functional to rave-techno, based on the masterful use of distorted drums and synths.

astropolis records brings out its 7th release, welcoming a distinguished guest from scotland. vince watson, the glasgow-based producer, chose the french melodic techno label to release elektrik. his previous productions saw the likes of cocoon, planet e, ovum, tresor and very soon transmit or rebids ... granting him worldwide reputation.
elektrik is a deep, emotional piece of melodious techno that can be relished at home as well as on a massive dancefloor. dark chords, enticing bassline coupled to downy reverb progressively unfurls vince watson’s flair, grasping the audience for a 9-minute journey to a crepuscular, hypnotic and colourful universe.

pmr va002 is the 6th vinyl printed by péché mignon records. as it’s predecessor, the first various artists, the four tracks incorporating the ep are produced by pmr producers and guests. easy morph and wlderz have renewed their involvement on this second edition of péché mignon’s various artist series and have been joined by two new guests : the young producer soul edifice, member of «acid avengers» and founder of the musical group «vernacular orchestra» and a guest star, madben, major member of astropolis and co founder of the duet «trunkline».

opening the release is title track trudge , a hypnotic mood-driven composition with an ever-blooming feel throughout its nine-minute duration. traumer employs dusty percussive sounds and a weighty kick drum to create the bumpy groove, while warbling bass licks, menacing synth hooks and processed vocals are layered up to create an intricate progressive feel. following is underlying which takes a different route, this time going into deeper realms with floaty pad lines, jangling rhythms and rumbling sub tones, while classic dub techno stabs are thrown into the mix to create a gritty and understated composition.
