to accompany the release of especial s compilation mix cd, -eleccio- - offering of a snapshot of the first 9 eps on the label - a limited edition sampler ep is being released featuring 4 unreleased remixes from the label s roster to date. ever since the first white labels appeared at the end of summer 2013, emotional especial has had a busy release schedule, putting out music that are a slightly warped take on club music. mixing the influences of dub, electro, disco, proto-house, house and techno, a feeling, a sound, a vibe has appeared without any preordained plan. with the release of ees10cd - a dj meets studio compilation mix created by label mainstay and handyman, jamie paton - to mark the end of first series of the label, it was decided to included a couple of specal unreleased remixes to add a bit of new with the old in the mix. to that end this limited edition vinyl sampler was created to include the two remixes, plus the inclusion of another two gems that simply needed to see the light of day. first is the alternative -member- remix of inhalt by black merlin - a strings meets leather bar club-dub-out that takes things deeper and darker than before. this is followed by jamie delivering his own take of khidja s massive mustafa, with a warped, swamped out dub. next is another mix from cage & aviary of their pals, blancemange. brooding low-slung rerub dub anyone? finally there is a very special remix by khidja of the ganges orchestra. reissued on emotional rescue in 2013, this special remix takes the vocal mantra of the original and creates a balearic-raga tale that perfectly rounds off especial to date.

to celebrate our 10th release we would like to welcome back our favourite outboard loving russian, semerka. two tracks of the highest order include lead track *triptych*, a 9 minute masterpiece in 3 parts, plus *more* which manages to be beautiful but deep with a creepy acid line. and synths reminiscent of the twin peaks theme track. dorylus take triptych into dubby territory with distorted but gorgeous synth lines not a million miles from early underground resistance. includes code for free download of 5 exclusive remixes.

hot city orchestra is a reformation of a band, which was originally formed in 1998. at the age of 17, arno völker (einzelkind) and simon birkenfeld became friends and started making drum and bass music together. they toured all over germany with their record label and had residencies at robert johnson in offenbach and tanzhaus west in frankfurt. after gaining years of experience within the breakbeat scene, arno went on to become einzelkind with releases on playhouse, cocoon, white and his own imprints la peña, jax and pressure traxx as well as worldwide dj gigs. simon was still focusing on his breakbeat career for another year, making an album with a uk drum and bass legend, but it was never released. he stopped making music and started focusing on his career in pr and marketing, where he mostly worked on music and art projects. during this time, the long-time friends arno and simon came up with the idea to launch the blog-network-project www.disco-very. net now, 16 years later, after making first beats together, the boys are back! a tiny bit older, much wiser, more handsome and around 50 bpm slower.

khaan started his dj career in 2005. since then, developed through his passion for electronic music, he has been setting high standards on the turntables. in 2007 he decided to start producing his own tracks, much to the joy of his ever growing fan-base. by now his electronic beats can be heard in various releases - *journey to africa* with the label tanzbar musik (including miss jools remix) or *control me* on the *venice ep* from blackrose records, if only to mention a few. further releases with prestigious labels like off, blufin or natural rhythm have proved themselves topsellers. this time khaan got together with alex gori from italy, delivering 2 good tracks for this ep, with a huge amount rhythm, feeling, and groove. for the remix we have no other than sis and zohki & roozlee from viva music, big love to you guys, think you gonna listen.
