etruria beat celebrates the 50th release on the label with a special pack of remixes of its first release, which was released back in 2010! after 8 years we have given a new life to 7 o clock the first track from luca agnelli on his own label. we have chosen four different artists to give different shades of techno to this release! one of the fathers of techno, dj rush, the industrial-laced techno of lithuanian under black helmet, the warm, pumping sounds of swedish artist mikael jonassons and lastly luca agnelli himself with his distinct, powerful style

following mervs ep, taped artifact now presents a new outing by the label co-founder kevin arnemann. with three original cuts, showcasing the labels characteristic dub-influenced techno sound, the ep is complemented with two remixes by jonas kopp. arnemanns ‘trash polka ep kicks off with saturated 808-grooves, driven by steady dub-chords and hard hitting claps. next, the original track sees a special dub influenced treatment by jonas kopp. the in spain residing argentinian delivers a stripped down, yet high energized techno version. as a digital exclusive, kopp prepares a second interpretation, following the tradition of a classic rooted dub sound. on the flipside, ‘revertigo sees arnemann utilise a rumbling break beat, topped with icy rides, blissful dub chords and cinematic pads, taking you on an energetic trip. ‘ideology is bringing the ep to a closing. with heavily processed chords and hard hitting drums, kevin arnemann creates a suspense that leave you wanting for more.

boogie box launched in style last year with a release from the mighty stl, and now they re revisiting that strong first step with a clutch of smartly selected remixes from some deep cover operators. juniper drops two dubs of -haze & kraze- that press squashed synth pressure, found sounds and splattering fx into tight but funky grooves with a distinctly nocturnal feel. fold s dub of -hide & seek- spaces things out beautifully, taking a crooked, steppers approach that works wonderfully with the source material. jonas friedlich s own dub of -hide & seek- takes a dustier path through the undergrowth, completing a package of truly non-conformist techno that chimes with stl s own outsider spirit.
