dimi angelis & jeroen search make their first appearance on par grindviks stockholm ltd label with their >rhetorica ep<. the pair have been working together since their debut collaborative release on music mans sublabel, ion, in 2004. since then they have released on figure, smallville, traut, balans and their own imprint a&s. they also produce together under the >counterpart< guise and have eps on jeff mills 6277, oscar muleros warm up and the advents kombination research under their belt. the >rhetorica ep< is a lesson in deep, patient and hypnotic sounds. a rounded ep that works both in home and club, and will undoubtedly prick the ears of the techno fraternity. jonas kopp interpreted both the originals into a version of his own. this remix is full of drive and energy, something he brings to all his works.

we are happy to have a follow up of m.in on trapez ltd in collaboration with his fellow mate jonas fahz. the duo has released together already under their pseudonym of mucky pups on the trapez ltd 100 anniversary compilation in may. their a-side welcome to my house features again a jack track, produced and written this time by a whole team including: m.in, jonas fahz, peter eilmers and featuring nick maurer on vocals. bringing together old school and new school this was also the idea with m.in s debut a-side track teach me house . welcome to my house instead has more of a live jammed attitude to it... in this respect it is meaner, rougher and tougher as the predecessor! the alienated and twisted voice of nick maurer adds a psychedelic feeling that keeps you making funny faces to yourself . delgardo has been a long time favourite of m.in and jonas, it is an approved dance floor track, and indeed a slow moving... but funky rocker. fuelled by vocal snippets and fx sounds... the beat goes non stop beat non stop ! elephant blues is the favourite track of m.in and a bit of a mad and deadpan track. fitting very well to the actual chart breaking tunes that spread like a virus in the underground scene, this could be the most modern of the three tracks. equipped with a strong drive, whipping its percussion line into oblivion it is a sexy track. the original 3 tracks are Êsupported by alex piccini with a cool post detroit remix of welcome to my house and well as heartik who has speeded up elephant blues turning it into a cool techno- rush of a track.

worst friends is ryan cavanagh and john paul jones (no, not that one) from brooklyn. they are also known amongst the beards as tom croose and slow hands. we actually suspect they are pretty good friends … making this sweet sweet music together and all … oh, and they just had a cool record out on oz-label future classic. the music sounds very unlike any short persons playing sports of any kind though slow and low is definitely the tempo. there is the beautiful balearic original, eric duncan gives us a psychedelic ride on the disco carousel and prins thomas channels the song through recently aqquired skills as a choirboy and 4 finger keyboards chords…. oh my….

a big blast coming here from multi talent broombeck. broombeck is known for some fine releases in the past on opossum rec. and terminal m, creating a big stir with his track >the clapper< in 2009. his track wtfai is a mega rocker coming with a monstrous vocal and a seductive speedy drum programming getting it to the die hard fans in a big way. broombecks trademark is dance floor energy exercised in perfection, this is a frenetic club smasher from the future with a big nod to the past. bassdriven techno on the highest level and frankly if you dont move your feet to this tune, you better retreat back home. the remix was done by m.in who teamed up with the frankfurt artists jonas fort his. the remix works great with a long intro and adding percussion step by step creating a rush in the second half that makes it a worthy companion.

dj ageishi is like the sensei of japanese djs: a true legend and active since 1973, he can scoop from an incredible musical wealth of experiences yet has his ear to whats happening in the now. this mixture of knowledge and curiosity for the new also characterizes his debut on internasjonal with colleague dj akin, who left his mark outside of japan with a remix for brennan greens >900lb man<. rattling drum breaks from the funk end of disco are the backbone for a soprano sax lick slightly remiscent of coltranes >a love supreme< that floats on top of noise distortet sheets of synth before the >rain parade< makes a total turn ending with a comforting lullaby like rhodes melody. prins thomas boils it all down to a simmering slow dub remake, while mark e lets all the single ingredients patiently lets every ingredient from the original develop its full-bodied flavour before kicking up the heat.

the urgent bass tones of >tussilago< open another intense builder. textural, staccatto elements combine and head the attack as the track picks up steam through its several, breathless breaks. satisfyingly wicked! mikael jonasson is the next artist to have his say on figure. like a pack of gruesome bass monsters brawling in their subterranean lair, >random diversity< is a ferocious encounter to say the least. roaring with intensity and detailed, thrilling sound design, its a raw, brutally modern and fiercely powerful production

after a recent short n sweet stint on tensnakes mirau imprint irish ex-pat mano le tough reemerges on internasjonal where he first saw the light of the day as a producer with the much acclaimed warhorn. yet even with such a rather small, straightforward discography mano managed to sculpture his unmistakeably very own style fusing the deeper shades of house and techno with a strong melodic sensibility that one would never even get the faintest idea to file it under the mostly bland tech-house genre. oblique boast a perfect effective dramaturgy with slighty spooky broken melody box theme rising out of a thick mist of grinding chords before morphing into a deep acid finale. french gentlemen of distinction and many styles chateau flight toughen up the beats and throw in some african wood percussions and sparse psychedelic dub effects for a superb rhythmically multi-layered rework.
