laate returns with the mysterious jack keo! our man was born and raised in the southwest of england, he got his first pair of decks at 9 years old and started producing at 19. for this fourth release, jack keo delivers 3 originals tracks. on a side, -module-e1 - is a heavy house tool with a groovy bassline and its organics sounds, catchy!!! on b1, jack show his deep face with -fondue-, he make us travel a little bit more by using space synth, cosmic sound and voices cut. to finish - apron - is a pure minimal track, strong bassline and female vocal increase the freaky atmosphere!

cin cin is back with their first release of 2017, complete with a snazzy new makeover. musically the quality continues with dublins new jackson following up excellent releases on hivern discs and permanent vacation with 2 new deep cuts, one of which may be somehow vaguely familiar…. on the flip new kid on the bloc elliott lion serves us two peaky discoacidtrax poised for some hands in the air moments.

firstly, a huge thanks to everyone for supporting us so far - 2016 has seen the dext label continuing to go from strength to strength, with our callahan and mella dee ep s backed with remixes from hodge and endian which have been been super well received. now for the third ep of the year from our resident comedian bodyjack. bodyjack has been an integral part of dext since he remixed dubspeeka on our 2nd release and headlined our label takeover of privilege in ibiza last summer. we are very excited about his return to the label with this 3-tracker (and our first full solo artist ep!), and we think you re going to dig this... the title track cobra effect is one of those tracks you aren t going forget in a hurry. intense and brooding, we are hard-pushed to categorise this, but layers of sinister bass coupled with dark, driving snares and eerie synth work culminate masterfully, making this the perfect dext track. hydra effect lifts the vibe with a straight up peak-time house jam with a sting in the tail. a raw-but-infectious bassline winds along under bodyjack s signature killer drum programming, before blasting off with something you aren t going to expect. rounding the ep off is slowine effect: a proper dancehall workout (reminiscent of bodyjack s earlier work) and a real cross-genre party starter. the most upbeat of the 3 tracks, this again takes all the elements of what we love about the music from the past and cleverly works them into something special for the rave. and that s not all for bodyjack on dext this year - he will be back with a one-off ltd record called -hot shot-, backed with a very special remixer...but more on that soon!

dark entries is honored to release a 4-track ep by red axes, the prolific production duo of dori sadovnik and niv arzi from tel aviv. the pair were raised on a diet of post-punk, new-wave, and italo-disco at fogged out warehouse and basement parties. their own productions and remixes have appeared on labels such as i?m a clich?, correspondant, and hivern discs. ?nyx tape? features two new compositions backed with two edits from our catalog. first up is the slick electro anthem ?5 min? another collaboration with french-canadian born singer chlo? raunet aka c.a.r. followed by ?nyx tape? featuring charismatic singer-lyricist gina kikoine aka gina x, who reached out after hearing their remix of her classic single ?no gdm? that was a huge anthem on the tel aviv 80s underground scene. the track is an ecstatic dance to the rhythm in the darkness with gina?s ice cold teutonic spoken word taking creative inspiration from the jewish mourners? prayer ? the kaddish. on the b-side ?destination moon? by solid space from 1982 has been given a dancefloor makeover with moody synths and a haunting guitar line reminiscent of an adrian sherwood dub. closing this ep is a hypnotic edit of ?la machine ? r?ver? by french bedroom synth freaks x-ray pop from 1984 slowed down to a 4/4 groove that takes the original to outer space and back. all songs have been mastered for vinyl by george horn at fantasy studios in berkeley. the ep is housed in a custom made jacket that features an original collage by eloise leigh representing nyx, the greek goddess of the night. each copy included a postcard with notes and lyrics.

inc cassy remix (perlon, panoramabar), first up is the more jackin minimal tune of the lot.… the second tune of the a-side takes on a more trancey and bleepy approach as string-like pads are brought in to mellow out the feeling of the track and support the crunchy and vibrant bass line. the major elements of b1 are comprised of an acidlike bass line and a staccato house piano. for the fourth and final track of the ep, cassy is brought in on remix duty and does a makeover of bleepy creep (a1) that introduces new elements and new energies. the remix is based on minimal references and stays low and repetitive

nyc producer / dj alison tara debut with remixes from brennan green(modal/ balihu / chinatown records) and cle ackini(soundproof music / black cherry). two girls is a thumping gritty club tale about two club girls meeting and making out, blendning chicago and newyork elements with a kind of jacking attitude that would make dj sneak proud. brennan green adds some fun with his remix as well as some insane live drum edits backbeating the mix. watch the monster bassline. acklin throws down a straight-up house cut that takes no prisoners
