as fabrice lig has contributed to the kanzleramt history – we are returning the favour and congratulate with this release to his 25th stage-anniversary! black stone is taken from universal tech ep of 2003 (ka089 12inch | digi). its powerful sequence was always considered as one of the best ever to be exposed on kanzleramt. so more than deserving and about damn time 3 new black stones emerge: polished into an epic set-starter or the jet-black time-lapsed grinding and compressing in the earth’s crust or raw acid washed. heiko leaves the choice to you.

this is joels second appearance on kanzleramt after his very much loved solo 12inch reminder in 2006. its also not the first release of the two, as last years drumcode limited release slight munch shows. joel and heiko have been friends for over a decade. the depth of that connection is reflected in rooter as much of this release was designed and realised right at the kitchen table over breakfast or with a good wine while cooking dinner. more parts of those sessions will be following on parabel later this year.

drumcode limited was created as an offshoot of drumcode for special tracks focusing on exceptional music. keeping tracks on a vinyl-only format gives the music a special collectors quality and a sound synonymous with audiophiles. past releases come from adam beyer, alan fitzpatrick, tom demac & glimpse, ben sims, steve rachmad, 2000 and one and marco faraone.

neueheimat is joinig the cirque du minimaliste family on its sublabel manege with his debut release *quartier3*. neueheimat was founded near hamburg in 2012 by dennis grell. after working for many years as a commissioned producer and remixer for publishers and labels, dennis wished to start his own, new project and truly realise his creativity. conceptually, the aim is for the music to blend seamlessly with his photographs of urban architecture and to document the anonymity of life within city walls. influenced by artists such as anders trentemøller, jon hopkins, trent reznor and the earlier einstürzende neubauten, dennis began creating his own definition of electronic music. neueheimat and subsequently *quartier3 ep* are characterised by dennis clear style of production: a few lighter passages, but primarily creating a deep and murky impression. large spaces leave room for interpretation and present the listener with images that either they have never seen or have been missing for a long time. created on old analogue equipment, mixed on a 30-year-old tape recorder and mastered by mastering engineer stefan betke (tresor, cabaret voltaire, lucy, laibach), *quartier3* is a significant milestone in dennis production history.

played by sven väth!!! teaming up with teo once again and returning to rejected for the first time since 004, heiko presents a couple of stunning mixes of >polyrhythm<.

the tracks blend the best of booth producers, rachmads detroit influence shaped with lauxs dynamic style. the title track viking, is led by a synth that sweeps in an almost hyperventilating rhythm that raising the track with a series of industrial ticks and clicks that flavour the german, dutch and detroit mix. a dark bassline leads the track into its climax where glitchy synths squeak and stretch before the track drops. carlos is a track that bounces with groove. morse-like rhythmic bleeps carry the track cementing the individuality that is created in the ep. awash with sweeping sounds, the track gains a smoother feeling of deep techno demostrating their delicacy. 7tine is a juggernaut with a dark, heavy rhythm, showing the industrial power of the pairs production. flanged distortion scratching like fingernails give the track a tense edge, while simple yet powerful synths steer the ep into an eerie conclusion.

pelacha has been focused on her playground project in the past few years, with the support of her friends, she now decides to pursue a project that will round up her musical career: the launch of red sonja records, certainly a very personal way of understanding techno, which has been an obvious part of her career up to this date. this passion now results in two releases. and this is just the beginning... the first release contains pelachas cuts in their purest style, techno without additives, a drum and bass line that absorbs the spotlight, led by a line that sets the synth pace - simple and effective. heiko lauxs interpretation gives this track a german touch, tight bass and a touch of surround development sound pure and highly hypnotic.
