volume one delivers four unrelenting groovers, individually flavoured, each artist brings something fresh to this overall consistent collection of tracks. intricately complex in their creation, yet ultimately these tracks perform a simple task, much like the machines of the late r. goldberg.

romanian artist dragutesku’s “convalescent” steadily builds from clicks and crackles to full speed rumble, squelchy bass paired with spacey pads and crisp percussion. cali native rithma responds with “watsonville”, thrusting the ripped-cone kick to the front before the softer side slides beneath the rhythm for an all-night drive. russian producer saktu starts the flipside with “veidi”, a neon-soaked breakbeat floater pulling the low end out for the midsection’s chirrupy synth-chat before turning on the jets. from berlin via budapest comes giash’s “new things”, a frictionless ride on a hypersonic rail across a bubbling, tonal landscape.

kanja records is sincerely honored to present its fourth vinyl release, based on a concept called sunday mornings. with this series of releases we will focus on that warm up, early morning, after party gems and slowly fading away from peak time music. our philosophy behind this concept is that the focus goes to the tracks being timeless, and music that you can listen to in every time of day and night. music that offers a vast variety, but in the end coming together in that sweet and warm morning glory.

pineland is the duo made of budapest s giash with montreal s pheek, both craftsmen of immersive, organic, groovy techno. while they ve never met, they offer an extremely efficient workflow that lets them pursue their love for making beautiful and colorfull rhythmics. while their first dub project was release on only material matters (uk), they ve been overwhelmed with positive feedback that made them burst into more creative juices, coming up with a very personal ep, named grounded
