here it is... a project i unofficially had done since 06Æ. it started when dilla passed february of 06. to cope with the death of my unofficial musical mentor & favorite producer, i started making donuts, uncontrollably. i never planned to release any of the material out of respect for dilla & his craft. iÆve shared some of the music with others, in which they would constantly ask me to hear it, so i decided to put a lil sumthing together and make it official. just for yall. this is a collection of beats i made in 06. some donuts style, some just around that era of 14kt beats. now & laters was always a favorite candy of mine. i used to go to mindells pharmacy in ypsi back in the day and buy all of them. sadly i even stole change from my grandmaÆs (rip) purse for them. ironically, i fell back in love with now and laters around this era. enjoy. 14kt

ive been over and over track running orders, while taking into account the limitations of vinyl. it needs to be a loud cut as anything increasing the chances of this music being played in clubs is a priority. the major development is, i d really like the a side at 45rpm, as before. as well as the extra volume, granular psychosis is an exciting prospect to be able to play at both speeds as its so fast. with this track list below, we re exceeding the time slightly for what i ve been advised is the best 45rpm quality. however, as zattrday has such a limited frequency range, that can be cut to take a very small part of the vinyl. i will talk to, about all this, and ultimately go with his advice of the best way to do this on the day. but i can say it will almost definitely happen like one of the two options below

occasionally jay haze will take some time away from his productions on contexterrior to release music with other labels like leftroom and desolate, or he ll provide a mix for fabric. here, in 2014, jay haze debuts on soul clap - and brings some friends with him. these friends are signor andreoni, an italian producer that s not released a solo record since 2010 (his last was with haze) and the unknown jordy lockruf. -take a dip- is a new-school cut of retrospective italo with those moaning synths perfect for a rimini dancefloor, while the two joints with lockruf provide one clunky, slide guitar twanging disco jam and a shuffling house cut that ever so lightly verges on electro swing - but not too much!

philadelphias own joe lentini has returned from mt. olympus with a bounty of dance floor ready sonic ambrosia. counting pink skull (throne of blood), tiger & woods, danny daze, donato dozzy, azari and iii, erika (ectomorph) amongst his musical admirers. lentini is the genius janitor of techno. solving complicated sound equations under the cover of darkness, he takes the findings to make tracks that bear a gritty resemblance to the now defunct chinatown bus.

for our fourth release we decided to take one of our favourite tracks from the discos de lata catalogue and give it to some friends to remix it. the tracks is sour mood by xpansul and damian schwartz.on side a, the capo of the new sond from chicago, billy dalessandro adds all that funk he has, with that remarkable chicago flavour and a subtle touch of acid. a solid track that keeps the hypnotic vibe of the original adding a tension that takes it to peak time territory. on side b, spanish techno master, alex under, joins forces with super talented argentinean producer leo gruenbaum, aka gruenbox, to deliver a piece of strong funky techno. the deep bass and groovy percussions are the foundations for a progression of hypnotic elements that make this a track a sure killer. we love techno!

this project started during the 2007 winter music conference when mr. marquez dropped there a selfmade bootleg of michael jacksons billie jean called mikelata and it was a pure happiness feeling on the dancefloors. 1 year later rocco, danny marques & dj fudge got together for a serious studio session with the perfect voice for this production: ricky galliano, a swiss based party and nightlife personality. the project was ready months before one of the sadest day of musics history happened: michael jackson passed away. now we changed the project in a tribute for the king of pop.

jose rodriguets last two releases were orientated to a more deep and minimal sound, his first solo release came out on blackout77 under the name of >celula ep< and gained the support of all top jocks from the minimal and electro clubbing scene and then he released alongside xpansul (leftroom, discos de lata...) an amazing electro-tech record on permissive records last year. now he is back to blackout77 with 2 big room minimal-electro anthems full on crispy beats, distortions and groovy basslines. the bside contains a strong, dark and very intense remix by larsson, courtesy of traum and b pitch control
