the bug kündigt mit bad feat. flowdan und get out the wa feat. killa p & irah (die erste kollaboration zwischen killa p und the bug seit skeng! vom 2008er album london zoo) seine neue aa-side 12inch an, die anfang dezember 2017 auf 12inch vinyl via ninja tune erscheint. auf bad schauen flowdan und the bug ein wenig über ihren eigenen musikalischen tellerrand: der mc bietet seine poesie in bestem singjay-style (abgeleitet von sing und jay aus deejay: dem eigentlich mc in der reggae-welt) dar und verweist somit offenkundig auf seine jamaikanische herkunft, indem er chams klassiker ghetto story zitiert und mit seiner eigenen geschichte über das aufwachsen in east london vermischt. ebenfalls für ihn eher unüblich, hat the bug den ganzen riddim aus einer durch ihn stark verfremdeten aufnahme eines einzelnen sowjetischen drumcomputers produziert und so lange an den effekten rumgeschraubt, bis der beat ordentlich rumpelte. und das wars dann auch: keine weiteren komponenten wurden hierfür verwendet. ganz ohne basslines kommt dieser track gänzlich mit vocals und beatbox allein aus so simpel und effektiv kann es manchmal gehen. get out the way ist die erste zusammenarbeit zwischen the bug und killa p, seit ihrem furiosen gemeinsamen song skeng! aus dem schon kultverdächtigen album london zoo von 2008. killa p bringt hierfür noch irah aus seiner killaz army crew mit und zusammen fallen sie über den beat her, den the bug in anlehnung an seine heißgeliebte und von junglist oder dillinja inspirierte reese bassline produziert hat. die beiden mcs üben sich im song in sachen dancefloor-zerstörung und klingen erschreckend glaubwürdig in ihren drohungen und einschüchterungsversuchen.

the upper austrian youngster has been addicted to electronic music since his early youth. after experimenting with different kinds of music he was fascinated from techno and house music and decided to buy his own dj equipment. through his outstanding talent in mixing records it didn t take him much time to be booked to local clubs and festivals. due to his unmistakable style of djing he attracted the crowd and found his own place in the austrian house- and techno scene. after his successful start as dj he started being interested in producing. at the moment he is expanding his international career and producer skills with the music association >elmart - electronic music art<. in october 2008, his stunning remix of chris eckers >when they say hello< was released on the german label >resourced music<. a month later, mike absolom released his first vinyl single >from absolom to heaven< on >elmart<. in 2009, he did several remix projects for mike turrentos >tele commander< on >elmart<, stefano vozzas title 2 on the irish label >dublin xpress records< and rob glennon on >nice &nd nasty records< with other remixers like orlando voorn, paul mac and many more

der titel legt es schon nahe: >for now<, das zweite album des britischen 60s-retro-trios the bishops, ist eine art bestandsaufnahme. eine referenz an den moment, an das jetzt, das die gruppe aus london seit erscheinen ihres deb?talbums 2007 mit hunderten konzerten ausgiebig gelebt hat - u. a. als support f?r james blunt auf dessen europa-tour. so sind denn auch viele der songs von >for now< auf tour entstanden, aufgenommen wurden sie im sommer 2008 in london vom produzenten brian o?shaughnessey (primal scream, my bloody valentine). abgesehen von den klassischen dreimann-arrangements spielen the bishops auf >for now< auch mit ungewohnten instrumenten wie trompete, mundharmonika und klavier. rockig und im besten stil der kinks und fr?hen beatles ist das allemal, wie nummern wie >hold on<, >free to do what you want< und die erste single >city lights< beweisen. doch auch ein folksong wie >he was a friend of mine< schaffte es auf die platte.

over the last year a new generation of young and ambitious house producers from frankfurt to mannheim have caused quite a stir. vera heindel is part of the scene in the rhine main area, which is the new centre for innovative and modern house and techno tracks, and peoples house, her first release on cargo edition at the end of 2008 received huge attention from critics and fans alike. this time around vera dishes up four top-notch house tracks for us which demonstrate her unique way of producing - using reduction and funk, the two constants of her music. jump the hump concentrates on two things: a devastastingly simple bassline and a vocal sample which gives the track a lightness and an understatement which you seldomly find in house tracks. miss fitz, veras project partner in mara trax, heads more to the dancefloor with her remix, but without giving up the special character of veras style. the b-side continues to drive with a high dose of funk. a clear organ chord gives ling both playful and elegant moments and with the vocal sample and the easy-going beats it becomes a typical vera- track. the final track on the ep hallimasch is espescially catchy with its melodic and complex style, triggering positive feelings all around

the official nightmare outdoor - tha last daylight anthem. this sure is a damn good anthem by tha playah & neophyte.they made a track with real raw kicks and a stunning melody what will cause some explosive hysteria on the dance floor!on the b-side you will find the very wanted track klaar om te rossen which appeared on the last evil activities album in 2008.

time to celebrate! systematic becomes 50! no, not 50 years but after four years we proudly announce that we have reached single release number 50! so a great honour to have two italian fellows on board which have influenced electronic club music a lot in 2008: hugo and daniele papini! hugo has caused a massive stir with >the siren< and >the sloop< on tuning spork and daniele papini has hit a biggie with >church of nonsense<, one of the coolest techno outputs in 2008 to date! their ep >nice to meet you< contains three tracks you shouldnt miss: check them all, there is no filler! for sure! attention!!!
