first up is tabou for the people by sofrito specials featuring l barrabas which twitch edited for his dj sets a couple of years back. the lovely people at sofrito kindly gave permission for it to be included on this release. its a relentlessly driving slab of 4/4 afro funk with horn explosions. next up is the 10th and final track in twitchs cumbia series. the first 8 were released on japans lets get lost label and the missing number 9 is being saved for a future release. colombias cumbia was born out of african influences. this track is based around a sample from colombian cumbia legend andres landero and is an attempt to fuse traditional cumbia sounds with up to date production styles. the end result is a slow motion hypnotic cumbia retaining the haunting melancholia inherent in the original sample. leading the aa side, twitch passed a wild highlife song by ghanas atakoru manu to glasgows super talented auntie flo (whose highly recommended future rhythm machine album recently saw a release) to play around with. auntie flo cut it up and added additional drums and bass to come up with this euphoric modern highlife groover

ok, we know what youre problem thinking…not another marvin edit! but hold your thoughts, this is something extraordinary and one of the best arranged and produced (not edited) tracks weve ever put out on gamm (no joke). with extra added keys and various production elements this is a 10 min and 52 seconds long boogie monster that will take you on an emotional ride youll never forget. yes, its that hot! but the flip isnt bad either with the revivra crew going uptempo with a super rework or remix (your choice) of crown heights affairs all-time ballroom classic. just like with the marvin track theyve turned the track inside out to an almost 10 min long disco cavalcade. the weekend starts and ends with this fantastic ep

anja schneider collaborate once again with close friends to muster, remix and vocalize for anja schneiders little creatures, the 94th release to boot! mobilee label-chief, anja schneider and bpitch wingman, kiki, solely dominate the release with minimal beats, in sync claps, soft baselines and a deep blow of infernal lyrics heavily breathing out, are you a saint or are you a sinner?

jorge ciccioli shows up again on rrygular. with his new release >southern tool< the argentinian dives really deep into the minimal genre. by focussing on the most important elements he created three handy and driving dj tools. and although the tunes are already well arranged there is room to experiment while playing. the track >sinatsuma< comes with a nice signature phrase that might get stuck in your head. the whole b face is reserved for the remix by franco cinelli who turned the main track into a dubby techhouse tune of almost 10min. nice one.

clone classic cuts continues their re-issues series for one of the most influential techno acts ever: drexciya. the second selection of tracks includes favorites such as bang-bang,positron island,anti vapour waves and journey home complimented with some lesser or unknown tracks. raw, uncompromising music made with soul and creativity have always has been the trademark of drexciya (and also from their original label underground resistance) and this album is another showcase of their talents. btw there is not much further background info we can give. all that can be revealed is already out there.
