italian audio/visual artist federico leocata, born in 1987, releases his first ep on weme in the weme313 category. inspired and sponsored by heinrich mueller (arpanet, der zyklus, dopplereffekt) he creates an uncluttered and cold electro, totally honest and whole-hearted/flawless. each song has a well defined role in the structure, leaning on a square rhythm, opppresive bass, frightening tunes, giving a futuristic and fantastic music as a result. this first record suggests a prolific future for this young artist.

this is the one you ve all been waiting for, the bad science ep from the mighty rustie. amazingly enough for an artist who has such an huge impact over the last year this is only his second full ep. i could go for on days about how good it is but best not eh. it all kicks off with the fractured hip-hop weirdness of tar and then swiftly moves into the massive bad science. we ve been seeing folk go crazy to bad science and rightly so, its an anthem and has getting properly hammered by kode9 and mark pritchard to name a few. its then on to the out there 8 bit bleepage of shadow enter. the b-side is now dedicated to the now legendary zig-zag and wireblock have really done themselves pround with this one by going straight to one of rustie s hero s the legendary henrich mueller (dopperleffekt, drexciya, arpanet etc) to add his own electro-physics sound to the aquatic mentalness of the original track. it comes to an end with zig zag (reprise), now the original was daft enough but this just to pushes it even further into new realms of madness. buy, buy, buy!

amazing, cold and mysterious science-sounds is probably the first words to come, when listening to this new piece of art from the dark caves of scandinavia. the consumer has returned with the 3rd ep which is again slightly different from past productions. your soul for access and financial advisory. drawing parallels to both the world of dopplereffekt and arpanet it still manages to be very different and the consumer has quite well establish his/her/their own sound based on different emotional feelings, techniques and creativity according to the use of analogue and digital expressions. perfect
