funkalicious james is one half of disco-house super-duo childhood 87, along with his old pal le loup. their >caught up< edit on airdrops aux-rec imprint back in january 2010 got some mouths talking and feet sliding. funkalicious james is now back with his debut solo ep and airdrop is really glad to bring it to you on vinyl today. the parisian born producer prepared two explosive cuts for his a-side, starting things mellow with >call on groove< and speeding it up a notch on >broken hips<. on the flip, douze -- another young parisian producer who appeared on the last hold youth record by seuil and le loup -- brings back a certain touch of french filtering, in the classiest manner. finally, it didnt take us much time to figure out who would be the most appropriate airdrop trooper to round this record off… john spring signs the deal, with a feverish version

diynamics new member duo hunter/game suprise with their first diynamic release. the two young boys from italy, emmanuele nicosia and martino bertola, bringing a really nice groove with them! its exactly the sound, diynamic stands for: deep basslines combined with groovy, harmonic vocals add up to the newest diynamic ep reckless lady. on their first visit to diynamics residency club, the ego in hamburg, hunter/game gave a first impression of the love and enthusiasm they have for their music. the first track >under< opens with a clear message: these boys really know what they are doing! driving hi-hats, a pumping, deep bassline and smooth vocals are giving this track a pretty nice groove. the second track on the ep boogie music sets apart from the other tracks. this cooperation with freakme is getting really funky! a beautiful vocal part, that is developing its full power in the first breake will make you move! with reckless lady, the third track on the ep, hunter/game made a perfect club tune. its again the nice combination of an accented, deep bassline, a repeating, catchy vocal and powering percussions that makes this track so nice. the ep ends with crazy enough, a melodic tune with epic vocals! all in all hunter/game proved their feeling for the special deep house sound, diynamic stands for and produced a great first ep.

for the next outnl we prepared a package with 2 of our favorite artists of the moment. on the a side we have a track by glaswegian james johnston who has had an immense year with releases on labels such as fine art, under the shade and boogie originals. we are very pleased that james decided to release his deep burning that was now on outernational. on the b side we find ben la desh. who returns to outernerational with the breezy but ferm drug carrier. while his previous release doctor bills is still making its round through the clubs and podcasts. we are sure drug carrier will even turn more heads.

jay west from argentina has been releasing quality deep house (the real sort that is) for the past decade, last years smile ep on bebr got some serious playlist and chart action from everybody who knows their shit, and were please to welcome him to the moodmusic family. the ep starts with blame the music, the sort of feel-good house music we used to get loads of in the early to mid 90s from the big apple. swinging beats, almost disco bass and a sunshine filled vocal are the ingredients for a tune, and jay has delivered one. this will probably not be belted by the kids house community, but real heads knows what to do with this weapon. down continues the journey with victor simonelli style keys and a bouncy bassline, making place for the low-slung in & out tune which have some serious west coast mushroom influences. we love it! to end the ep the catchy little mean machine finally brings the smile to your face.
