lmds first ever collaboration ep * echoes of paradise* by shaun soomro & mikael stavostrand gets reworked. legendary cult producer josh brent reworks * street code symphony* in classic schatrax esque style turning it into a beautiful timeless cut. it recalls his best works as schatrax - sparse. jacking. lush and dreamy with a sense of mystery created by a master crafts man who set the blueprint for this sound. shaun soomro’s re-vision of paradise lost takes things in a completely different direction also. but in heavyweight dub mode. drawing its groove from a mesmerising sub bass. shaun layers and recomposes from the first violin recording session & plays in new string segments that blossom and develop the more you listen. creating a epic symphonic dub masterpiece. one for the late night warriors! both artists turn out exceptional reworks primed for those special dance floor moments

as weekend circuit approach their 20th release. argentinian duo yyyy return for their second full length ep on the label to celebrate this benchmark. the yyyy modus operandi is already familiar to the initiated - expressive. raw techno experimentalism from the outer reaches. carry this blood is a collection of 4 moods and sounds. carved out with emotion soaked ambience. synapse flaring distortion and machine fracturing rhythms. repent . as the title suggests. takes no prisoners. leaving no survivors in it s wake. it is a glimpse into a tear in the time-space continuum where chaos rules. hands towards the giver is epic. glacial. spacial widescreen techno. dramatic and urgent. the soundtrack to a doomed planet collapsing from within. carry this blood bestows an eerie. cold feeling. an atmosphere of regret and loss hangs over it like a thick fog on a hillside. punctuated only by a heartbeat mimicking kick drum offering a human touch. of thrones and comfort snaps us out of the haze. the fog clears and we are faced with the frenzied electronics and thundering kick drum of this most sinister of tracks.
almost a millennium ago. the italian poet. dante alighieri offered the indelible axiom: “heat cannot be separated from fire. or beauty from the eternal.” in the centuries since. almost every strain of logic has been upended. save for the inextricable connection tethering beauty and timelessness. anenon’s tongue is a beautiful album. that’s an adjective whose meaning has practically been obliterated by hallmark prose and hyperbolic idiocy. but occasionally. a work of art digs deep enough to excavate the underlying meaning that existed in antiquity and figures to persist until we’re soil and dust. this is beauty materialized through the abstract articulation of love. loss. fear. addiction. confidence. longing. hope. and sadness. at its best. the infinite array of human emotions swirled and distilled into sound. sound becomes melody. harmony. and rhythm. the medium happens to be music. but it could really be anything. pure expression. tools mean nothing more and nothing less than palette and color.
limited edition of 500 copies on translucent vinyl..
rumours believes that the only way to harmony is by allowing yourself to be extreme in every way. after listening to megamix for the first time. the origin of the name reveals itself after every track you hear. rumours are hannah vandenbussche and jonas boermans (both active at monami). birds-singer pieter-jan cools and brutus drummer stefanie mannaerts. they joined forces a few years ago to produce something they call sjamaanhop. a self-invented term that best can be defined as an enchanting combination of techno and trip hop. it’s as if the knife and crystal castles suddenly found the ideal pool partners in four tet and nosaj thing. where rumours is known for their dark. fast paced and heartfelt live sets. they show they ve got more to them in their first studio album. influences from every corner creep into the songs. which makes it a quiet unusual. but balanced album. a mishmash of melancholy (every cry for help needs a saving anthem). a certain tint of sadness and that one urgent place in our hearts that we call desire. for the visual aspect of the album. the spanish party island ibiza was an obvious choice for the band. the destination was not only a refuge. it was a place where hope and grief can exist together.
the vinyl lp includes a download code.
as the wind whistles through your hair. everything passes you by in a blur. faster and faster you go. faster and more terrifyingly into the abyss you fall. you scream with a mixture of panic and joyful abandon half wanting this to never end but knowing that it will anytime now: a smile creeps across your face. and as it ends. you breathe a sigh of relief. wistfully remembering with powerful emotive accuracy before hurriedly joining the back of the queue for another go - after all. it s just a ride. life is very much like the blitzbahn . it goes up and down. round and round and for much of the ride. we never know what s going to happen. here on his fifth studio album. oliver schories explores all the fun of the fair across 13 expansive cuts that showcase his incredible knack for straddling that house/techno mid-point with consummate ease. some artists take years to craft their albums. agonising over every detail before. frustratingly. deleting the whole project and starting again. oliver. however. is as prolific as he is confident of his ability to construct the kind of dance floor bombs that have helped him to build a significant head of steam in the underground.

staub comes back on wax for a third episode. following the no name policy from the parties which started 5 years ago in ://about blank. it is time again for unknown artist to shine. this new ep sees the shy producer appearing on 4 tracks of pristine techno. a1 is an atmospheric trip while a2 is more brutal. on the b side it is going weirder and darker. we think unknown artist tries to craft interesting techno cuts and that he loves variety. that it is the idea behind staub since its beginnings. it does not matter whether you are a newcomer or lady gaga. what matters is the quality of the music. this is what was again aimed with this third record.

the original mix of “blavus” opens the ep. perfectly setting the tone with murky. ethereal atmospherics. billowing dub echoes. modulating percussion and thunderous drums before dubtechno stalwart xdb strips things back a little with soft touches of the originals airy drones tucked away in the depths whilst choppy stabs and dynamically unfolding analogue rhythms wander throughout.
