in 1989, an italo-house act sueño latino released a self titled track, which went on to become one of the most revered electronic music records of all time. louis botella is now set to release a sensational remake on emerald city this september. the track itself samples part of manuel göttsching’s influential e2-e4, an album known for its role in the development of house and techno. fast forward to 2018 and the record is again set to be revived thanks to louis botella, and with the blessing and support of göttsching and expanded music. on his interpretation of the track, louis has stayed true to the original, replaying each part and adding an extra dimension to the tracks through a sparkling piano topline, a new vocal hook and dreamy arpeggiations. louis’ passion for the art of djing was sparked from a young age. at sixteen he got his first gig at a club in luxemburg and released his first record in 1998. since then, he’s released on respected labels such as classic music company, ovum records and poker flat recordings.
the debut vinyl only release on the newly established kod (keep on dancing) records embodies the spirit of multiple day long sessions held at the revered can chou chou house in ibiza, where anything goes from disco to techno (in this case the former prevails) so long as its played tastefully and at the right time. no title and no artist name appears on on this single, just the music speaking for itself.
bar records is the lovechild of bar rotterdam, a club founded in 2013. bar records will release a variety of music linked to the club, by people that are regularly playing in the laid back colorful space that is bar. we are excited to announce the first release with french label owner of macadam mambo, sacha mambo, who made us some trippy originals, and local fader (from borneo). he created a trancy banger aswell as a more dreamy house track.
maps is a project by a london-based lithuanian drummer and producer, marijus aleksa. this labour of love is the culmination of many hours spent touring and in-session with some of the greats of londons bubbling contemporary jazz scene, resulting in marijuss first solo project to date. the ep combines elements of jazz, afrobeat and electronic music through free-form jamming and remixing, with movement and the dance floor firmly in mind.

like all great music, it s difficult to pinpoint what this sounds like exactly - but toronto s block univers have cited their influences to include -boogie, house music, cold wave synths, gospel vocals, 808s and moog basslines- - so that would go some way to explaining the magic here. we tried to jam in as many of our favourites on this release as possible. more bang for your buck!

a new ep from amsterdam based producer daniel jacques, titled last jaar, will follow up the exclusive ep from mysterious japanese producer shinichi atobe from 2016. last jaar will be released on jacques’ own jadac recordings record label and on this ep, he is bridging the gap between house, techno and r&b music.
londons long standing sunday party purveyors, wetyourself!, drop the second in their vinyl only limited series with wys! co-founder peter pixzel and herr stepping up to the plate. side a serves up two weighty minimal rollers, complete with heavy basslines, pounding kicks, crisp hats and glitchy bleeps. on the flip nexcro maintains that wetyourself asthetic yet teases in some intergalactic synthwork, echoed out to melt any minds its put before. to close out the ep. topup moves down a darker path with a tougher soundscape, haunting synth breakdown and pulsating percussion. wysl002 offers a weighty follow up of four peaktime rollers from the wetyourself! camp be quick, don t sleep!
autre fell asleep in a gondola and awoke in the krankenhaus. this is his first offering for the esp institute. side as everybody in the past is sharp techno aimed for the alleys of your mind gritty, driving, and melodic combinations of blown-out drums and classic electro riffs that relentlessly sprint for a good 4 minutes before a squelching arpeggio and angelic solo kick in tugging the heartstrings and lighting a beacon for those noble morning dancers lost at the front left speaker, channeling from the deep. on side b, frigo completely dismantles any expectations you might have after listening to its predecessor. an undoubtedly seductive samba rhythm comprised of distant snares, rim shots and cowbells holds together an aggressively active bassline, a steel drum harmony and synth solo that crawl all over like a funky worm. this track is truly something special, a gift for the prodigious selector when dropped in the deserved context, it has the potential to unlock unprecedented levels of euphoria. these two songs are as fluid as a paintbrush yet precise as a scalpel.
