lumiÞreslanuit (alias lln) is glad to welcome back paris-based music composer, live performer and dj vadim svoboda for the 10th release of the label. in addition to be a close friend of the lln crew and a regular of the label’s showcases, vadim svoboda has also become a key artist of the label. indeed, it’s with him that it has all started, about three years ago, when he released his syntherapie ep (lln000) on the label. nine releases (plus one) later, we’re glad to have him again on board, this time with another format as he’s about to release his first album seed (lln009+1). seed is made up of two records: roots (vinyl 1: lln009) and canopy (vinyl 2: lln009+1). whereas roots sounds like a mini-album in the album where melodic and melancholic notes alternates with dark and strong beats, canopy seems - according to its composition - to refer directly to his syntherapie ep, even though the listener might find the same inspirations in both records.

second release comes from berlin based b.e.f., soaking you into a deep journey of the now. a repetetive meditation - forward pushing and hypnotising. b.e.f. has been a steady part of parallel berlin since a few years, so it s a logical next step to release his debut solo ep on our label. he has been releasing under different monikers, which have been subjected to quite a lot of variations. he meanwhile found a coherent foundation of a rough, hypnotic and gritty sound. coming along with the process of discovering the most genuine way of expression, he focused on analogue gear. “waveforms are not only a mathematical law, waveforms are everywhere, in all sections of everyday life, in light and in sound. parallel is one of the many parallel universes out there, living and believing in variety, whilst pointing onto respect for various life forms. we do what we love”.

inter gritty follows his debut album up with another ep, going down a slightly more abstract path here. void offers plenty of depth with warm pads and subtle breaks, while blurred edges takes your mind for a spin with its cycles of bleeps and ever changing bass line. on the b-side, cure for madness is a gradually unfolding, moody techno builder with crisp beats and lush drones.

dub and minimal sounds are interweaved in the second release of the tevol label. on the a-side you can find mystery and a beautiful dub story from artists based in israel, the united states and japan. the b-side brings you incredible energy based on unique dub-techno elements with a punchy kick and groovy bass line.

bergstrom cuts to the chase: cavernous, reverbed chords, slicing high hats and steely snares strapped to a sinewy 909 kick, with a siren droning faintly in the background. four-to-the-floor ekaterina is the fever dream of funky house: icy hats and reverbs trick out a heavily filtered synth and a heaving sample of vintage polka. kicking off the flip, more war: state and revolution evokes a kind of long march beneath forbidding skies, its occasional skirmishes between razor sharp hats and muted claps blanketed by echoing synth stabs. finally, damperhof draws the curtains and departs the dancefloor: a mournful, impressionistic cello, a slow throb, a little acid, sombre chords bouncing around the ruins... this is mirko at his most expressive
