Hold Me In Your Arms" wurde in der Abbey Road neu
gemastert und war Ricks letztes Album, das von den
britischen Songwriter-Urgesteinen Stock, Aitken und
Waterman produziert wurde. Sechs der zehn Songs auf
diesem Album waren Originalkompositionen, die von Rick
selbst geschrieben und mitproduziert wurden. Zu den
Hitsingles gehören "She Wants To Dance With Me", das
von SAW geschriebene "Take Me To Your Heart" und der
Titelsong "Hold Me In Your Arms".
Die LP-Wiederveröffentlichung bietet das remasterte
klassische Album auf auffallend blauem Vinyl und mit
fachmännisch nachgebildetem Original-Artwork. Die neue
Doppel-CD-Neuauflage enthält 28 Tracks, darunter das
remasterte Originalalbum sowie B-Seiten, Remixe und
Ricks eigene, neu interpretierte Versionen der
Originalsingles des Albums. Die Doppel-CD enthält
außerdem ein erweitertes Booklet, das bisher
unveröffentlichte Fotos von Rick aus den Jahren
1988/1989 enthält.

Hold Me In Your Arms’ is the platinum-selling sophomore album from Rick Astley. The follow up album to Rick’s smash-hit debut album ‘Whenever You Need Somebody’ marks its 35th Anniversary in 2023 and reached the Top 10 in multiple markets including the UK, Canada, Germany, Italy and more.

Newly remastered at Abbey Road, ‘Hold Me In Your Arms’ would be Rick’s last album to be produced by British songwriting royalty – Stock, Aitken and Waterman. Six of the ten songs featured on this album were original compositions written and co-produced by Rick himself, its hits singles include ‘She Wants To Dance With Me’, the SAW-penned ‘Take Me To Your Heart’ and title track ‘Hold Me In Your Arms’.

The LP reissue format features the remastered classic album pressed on striking blue vinyl and expertly recreated original artwork.

The new double CD reissue features 28 tracks including the remastered original album plus b-sides, remixes and Rick’s own reimagined versions of the original singles from the album. The double CD also comes with an expanded booklet that includes previously unseen photographs of Rick from 1988/1989.
